Do not use this thread to beg users for beta access or trade access with others. Thanks. |

I have an AU Blizzard account and I flat out refuse to pay the bullshit Australia rape tax for the sake of ripping us off. I need to know where I can buy a HoTS key on launch day (or close to it) for US pricing. Current online price for Diablo 3 for example is $83.33 US for the digital version of Diablo 3. No doubt HoTS will be 40 to 50 in the US and 70 to 90$ here :/
Any suggestions? Other than having an American buy me a retail copy and just email me the key? CAn`t you fake you location with a proxy, and buy as if you were located in US?

Yeah.. It's good though, by the time LotV announces it's beta, HOTS will be almost balanced! The funny part is that people are acting like its gonna be a complete failure, but once everything is fixed it will probably end up being amazing... in 5 years xD.

EDIT: or would a person have to sell their bnet account?? WoL were going for like $300-$400 on ebay at first, I know I paid $100 for mine off craigslist and got a deal.
Hopefully since this is just an expansion, and not a new game, they will be cheaper. I'd personally be willing to go $150ish, but not much higher than that.

You can use Paypal (CC is address checked) and a US address on account creation, but you can't change your current account as it requires ID proof to change the region so if he wants to keep his current acc he'd have to use two accounts from them on, and HOTS won't be standalone? So he's screwed.
Good news is global play means no region locking, so the high price thing may not be an issue. All the cd-key sites will have it, so just chill bro. Also why do you need a WoL key, this thread is about HOTS beta, don't you already own WOL? If not, why are you here ^

I hope they choose me :DD:D:DD

Blizzard said soon after MLG......still waiting.
Blizzard just stated soon again......still waiting.
Blizzard luxury of waiting until completely polished is now on the flip side. People are getting sick and upset over it. Blizzard, please show some enthusiasm in your work with deadlines.

Actually, the second time they said "very soon" not soon. Who is getting sick and upset? They probably have internal deadlines, but they obviously aren't going to make them public. If they uncover a major flaw, what's better? Put it out anyway because of a deadline, or fix it and do it right?

I would argue Blizzard's releases are far from polished anymore. Look at SC2 (missing huge bnet features but released anyways) or D3 (no PVP, actual core game was a mess).

Superiority harassment and ranged supporting damage. Slow dps Slow speed cost 300/300 I didint play HOTS anywere , but i think even two ( 3 for 100%) mutas can kill Tempest Other thing is you need an observers to really make use of that range , but when opponent snipe your observer this range of Tempest is useless , its really easy to close Tempest harras if you think about it. Currently Oracle has an ability for 75 energy that it can cast on enemy buildings. It lasts 120 seconds, detect units in the radius of 7 around that building, you get the vision of that radius and you can see what that building is producing/researching. So, you won't even need an Observer, it is pretty easy to do. And you need some kind of Air units to counter tempest with 22 range, even if it is just one Tempest with low dps, it one-shot workers, so it can be used as harasser. It costs 300/300. An entire mineral line is barely worth that. you wouldnt pay 300/300 to completely shut down an entire expansion permamently? Do you write disingenuous things for a living? There's no way a Tempest is going to shut down an expansion permanently when any air unit can kill it. To be fair your'e the one that said that an entire mineral line isn't worth trading 300/300 when it's worth farrrrrrrrr more. Either way, the Tempest is by design (in Blizzard's own words) a support unit. It's not supposed to be flying around by itself. There's no point in theorycrafting and drawing conclusions based on old build Battle Reports with players trying to show off the new units rather than win. Just wait for beta. in the lategame, I think of the Tempest as a sort of super slow Nuke. Minerals lines are less valuable by that poitn.
I don't want to complain about a unit that hasn't been released yet but tempest from the BR was taking four(incredibly slow) shots just to kill a tank. The tempest is no nuke. Of course everything could change so who knows. My biggest worry about the tempest is that if you see your opponent make them you can just rush in and collect the win. Each tempest is likely one less colossus so in a fight your army is going to be much weaker... I guess it is designed to work against slow armies like BLs and tank style mech. Hopefully it will work.

the price drops after every invite wave so if your not willing to pay what it is originally jsut wait for it to drop
