If MLG had a summer arena with 7 current SC2 stars and Flash...... well then..... we'd have ourselves a show
They might decide to treat him like a young prize fighter though, and set him up with some easier opponents for a long while to build the hype and his W/L.... but if he doesn't play any of the top SC2 pro's we'll be left in limbo to know just how good he is.
flash doesn't do "other" tourneys since kespa wouldn't allow that anyways.
ie: Limbo . BW people will say he's amazing, SC2 people will say prove it.
If someone offers his a 25k showmatch vs Stephano, he's just going to turn them down? He's busy that day?
I can't wait to see what they do.... merger of two sports scenes like this.
you don't get it.. kespa wont ALLOW him to play anything not okayed by them.
When does God become a free agent?
Does any other team have a 3-year, $1 million + incentives contract ready for him?

why would he switch when he gets the best salary where he is?

I mean the longest streak of domination was immvp but even he lost to a lot of random players even when he was at his peak. Flash might do a little better just with ability, but he will still lose like immvp does. There is nothing he can do better if he can I would love to hear what. Its not brood war he will not be as dominate there are too many hard counters and things like force fields that just remove micro no matter how good you are. Starcraft 2 is good game, but brood war was better without going into big explanations.
play last night, I could see how Flash would still dominate. Some sick mind games and great decision-making, plus sheer raw balls. Flash has the same mix, tempered with a lot of experience.

I don't think anything will be proven by a mere single match. This discussion won't end for a while after he actually makes the transition.

KeSPA probably won't be able to do this with Blizzard firmly in the picture, just like GOM isn't exactly itching to dissuade foreigners from playing in the GSL. It's just bad business.
Honestly if Kespa don't realise the power of foreign tournaments then good luck to them, but they obviously don't understand SC2.
I don't think Kespa will do this if they're coming to the table with Blizz + Gom though.
why would he switch when he gets the best salary where he is?
Flash's salary can't be sustained given the future state of BW as an esport. I know I sound like a pessimistic dick, but all the signs indicate that BW is in a slow decline in Korea.
Just wondering, what is Kespa's incentive to keep Flash from competing in foreign tournaments? If MLG wants to fly him out for Summer Arena 3, why wouldn't they want him to go?

Prolly cuz he would get roflstomped, at least initially. I believe they said the OSL will exclude GOM players for 1 year so that the BW players can catch up to their counterparts, although that may change due to the announcement.

Well, they really want players to focus on THEIR tournaments so that they get the better matches.
Look at how players that travel a lot tend to start falling off after while. As much as I love constant content players being too spread out may affect quality from games.Which KESPA wouldn't want

BW programmers wouldn't waste their time playing for money while online.
Offline or it doesn't matter to them, sadly in SC2 we don't have a choice now.
I wonder if SC2 will ever be this big even with Flash...
I know BW will never be that big again, but sc2 has a chance.
I doubt it. gamers from this era likes multi-player competitive games, such as mmo, fps, and dota, no matter the difficulty or "viewing pleasure", people are going to invest time that they personally play.

RTS is becoming more niche as years go by
huh? from my experience its the complete opposite.. do you have any data to back up this claim of RTS becoming more "niche"? total number of players playing games like sc2 has certainly gone up so..
As I see it, having a Korean SC2 SPL will almost end up like BW where the korean sc2 scene will explode exponentially and the skill cap getting so large between koreans and foreigners and koreans will only go to foreign events out of spite to show them who really is boss. There should be a global group to organize this kind of thing,
