I think the main reason why there are not many of them is the way to get there.
There are many random master players but over 90% of them dont understand the game at all. They just learn 1-2 allins for each matchup and that's it. Most of them go blind eco-cheese so it looks they are able to play lategame.
And the rest of 10% solid good random master players are just a to small base to get many pros out of this pool.

Wrong, wrong and wrong. Most random player does not like being burdened by a single race, with restrictions. Therefore, it's just a form of race changing.

Show me which random player eco-cheese.

Also could someone point me to streams of people who random? Supposedly some pros ladder with it, for instance mvp, but are there any who stream it?

i think you didnt understand my text. i talking about the BASE the pros come from. I dont want to say that master is pro at all.

From my feeling and what i hear from other player like 60% go unit- 30% go eco allin, 10% play normal game. Obvious this numbers are just a guess. But if you play random players you notice there is a big difference to "race" players in the builds and the gamble part of the game.

Something insightful to consider is that playing at the top of Grandmasters still does not guarantee that you are exceptional at playing your race. In ForGG's latest interview, he stated that despite holding three accounts in the top echelons of GM, he still does not feel like he understands how to play Terran that well. This is coming from a former BW MSL champion. He obviously has the mechanics and then some, but the required understanding of the game is too deep.

I think mirror matches are also particularly difficult for random players. The extreme subtleties of the matchup require you to play the race full time to understand. MorroW refuses to play ZvZ, and will always use Terran against Zerg. On the ladder, this fact is compounded by the high probability of hitting a mirror matchup everytime one queue's.

I'm a diamond level random player, and I feel like I have zero understanding how to play Zerg, despite winning with the race. Sometimes, it's because my mechanics are that much more solid that my opponents. Other times, I took a risk and was able to capitalize on it. The point being that the gains of playing random are very inconsistent. They far outweigh the fact that you do not have deep understanding of a race, compared to someone that plays that race at the top levels, full time.
