Yup, I PM'd the OP about it. This video is the actual show. They are reasonably talking about the state of halo and what needs to happen. Numerous times they point to the SC2 community to show the Halo community what they need to do. I believe when they were streaming they had 1k viewers which is pretty sad. My favorite part: "We were the king of the pawn league, and now we are the pawn of the king league, what's the big deal? Everyone is just so discouraged" - DMAQ To be honest, the "style" part of the video in the OP shouldn't have even be there. They were just hasty and started talking shit for fun. Oh well. | ||

So I think it's fine that we can help them out or try to understand their game. Also they really weren't smack talking starcraft that much I mean if anything they are threatened by the success and the strength of our community more than anything. EDIT: though to be honest it is funny that these guys are saying how hard it is to shoot in Halo... Man Shooting in quake is way more difficult. Though it is very fun to play Halo. | ||

Only thing I don't understand is where they got the idea that Starcraft players don't consider themselves nerds, Tasteless and Artosis in particular have (in my opinion) helped us all become more comfortable with our inner (and outer) nerd. | ||

To be honest the stuff at the beginning was pretty useless. He argued that it was just to fire up his community, but if it even is successful it just seems like it will add to more condescending comments between communities in the future. Later on they mentioned SC2 fans going through with their own projects/ideas like barcraft, and essentially said "Look at what they are doing... we need to do more of that. If you have an idea, just do it." That, in my opinion, is much better advice and it doesn't come across as a condescending remark towards SC2 fans, therefore decreasing the likeliness of Halo fans talking down on SC2. | ||

These guys are pretty good laugh to be honest. I don't feel offended as a SC2 player/fan. In terms of hostility towards other communities, as a regular online racer (rFactor mostly), there isn't much negative I can't say towards any game out there that's trying to be as big as SC2. Maybe only LoL ? Coz I like "denying" creeps mainly :D | ||

The rest of the video is them being worried about Halo in the coming years and trying to figure out ways for them to be able to sustain everything, you might say I'm giving them more credit than they deserve about this but I can honestly assume that they did their initial part to gain a lot of attention from this community--be it good or bad, as long as they get some attention, regardless of how little, it helps them stay relevant | ||
