Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

I think nerfing BFH may, hopefully, allow balance between mech and bio. It would be great if either composition was possible in either matchup, and even air-terran as well. That would be so cool for diversity, although I think it would make the other races seem inflexible. And it would probably be really hard to keep up with in balance, because eventually people would figure out what composition is best in each matchup (as with BW.)

warp prisms are gonna be used SO much. that's a huge buff to them. speed warp prisms will be absolutely insane.

Reduced vision from the bottom of ramps is a great change.
Immortal attack range is interesting, could be good or bad in the long run.
Any Mothership buff is great, underused unit.
Blink research is another interesting change, not sure if I like it though.
Warp prism buff is great.
Barracks build time nerf is unnecessary.
Blue flame nerf is too severe, 6-7 would be fine.
Seeker missile is strange, I guess they're trying to encourage more usage.
Infestor nerf should be fine.
Overseer costing only 50 gas is much much better, excellent buff.
Not sure about the Ultralisk build time buff, could be ok.

Overall I'd say 1.4 is a slightly better game, so +1 to Blizzard this time.

Good changes all round I think, the numbers on the hellion/infester damage decrease might need some tweaking but they are a step in the right direction.

Patch Notes that appear like Blizzard is playing and watching the same game we're.

Biggest change defenders advantage...unit's shooting up a ramp -1 range. Awesomeness.

Barracks build time nerf. Helps toss and Zerg in keep the scout alive a bit longer, and delays a number of build times like the 1-1-1.

Blink nerf, will wait and see for that one.

The frequency of fallacious, flat-out incorrect statements and inferences in this thread in regard to unit statistics and changes is actually amazing me. I thought, on average, the posters on this forum would be a bit less ignorant.

tl;dr learn your shit and stop complaining about unit stats if you don't even know the correct values (half of you)

I'm so happy. I picked P in beta because I loved shit like Storm/Reaver drops. Now that I can do that with less risk of losing a ton of resources I'm going to have a great time!

I wouldn't say that helion = reaper, however the upgrade now only makes sense when you have lots of them, which means that its effectively cuts down on Terran early harass options. Seems like an intended change cause of other races lack of harass options to me. This sucks...

I don't get the blue flame nerf. seriously wtf blizzard. Why shouldnt a couple of tier 1 units be able to one shot a line of workers? I really dont understand? So what your telling me is that i won't be able to sneak some hellions into my opponents base and win the game flat out? thats just absurd to think. LOL omg, terrans are so ridiculous sometimes. hellions where far and away the most cost efficient units in the game and needed a nerf badly. Why would you EVER think that being able to kill an entire economy with only two 100 mineral units is fair?

Is -1 range only effective when you are going up the ramp and shooting up ramp, or is it also effective when you're shooting up high ground with vision?
