Since this whole topic degenerated into the usual balance flamefest where every topic ends up if unmoderated it's time for it to clean up. Locking this down for a while. Any posts made after my post [page 233] not addressing the changes in this patch directly and containting flames or general balance whine will get banned for at least a week. ~Nyovne

I dont like the idea that zerg HAS to outmacro their opponent, doesnt seem balanced IMO. And whats to stop the protoss from just a moving his deathball into your bases? You cant base race as zerg, so you have to engage directly. With FF you can completely seal off avenues of attack so flanking isnt too effective. Even if it was I still think the deathball would win, but I dont know for sure.

Personally I think it's silly that Neural parasite gets nerfed but terran is left as is ;\

The rampant state that is terran atm is quite ridiculous.
The neural parasite nerf seemed unnecessary. But we'll see what happens.

What the FUCK why is blizzard so STUPID how am i supposed to kill the deathball now? With fungal? Holy shit i cant even believe it why does Blizzard nerf such a fundamental spell, ZvP is unwinnable now, unless Corrupters get a GIANT buff.

Otherwise i will play Toss, fuck the ultralisk buff, that infestor shit is simply a joke. Colossus balls are as OP as never before.

Ehh I am fine with that Neural change in ZvP right now, but there are some pretty scary mass thor mech builds out there and NP has been the best solution for that out there if I am not mistaken. I would be interested to see how to deal with that in future O.o

So how exactly is zerg gonna have ANY chance against mass colossus? Broodlords wont even work, since the colossus will fry the broodlings in a matter of no time, then the stalkers can proceed to tear up the broodlords. I seriously do not see the point of keep nerfing zerg over and over. The only thing that helps zerg in this patch is the increased build time on blink avoiding early blink stalk rush', and the decreased gas requirement for an overseer. It doesn't matter if you nerfed the ultralisk build time to 10 seconds, It'd still suck being the worst unit in this game.
And what is up with the teamliquid reactions to this patch? How many percent of the users on this site are bronze players not having a clue about balancement in terms of games?

Huh.

I thought they would have taken a leaf out of WC3s book and increased damage taken while NPing OR had neural parasite drain energy during the cast, ending after X time or when out of energy (so you can feedback/emps to instantly stop NP).

Saddening that NP is pretty worthless now, stargate into coli is going to be pretty hard to deal with.

As a matter of fact I can only remember games where the Protoss Ball is demolished by Fungal + Banelings, can you please point out to me some games where PROS use NP to deal with it??

Very good nerf. Massive, the most expensive units with the most tech and time invested in them shouldn't be just taken over by one stupid ability with range of 9 from a unit thats worth only 100m 150g...

Infestor must have a huge nerf because it is just OP, so if you do not want neural nerf, you can:
- make infestor cost 150m 200g
- make neural cost 150 energy and drain 1 energy per second.
- make neural have 6 range

I think either of these nerfs would be fine. Neural nerf is just the best choice imho ;]

So, now toss is easier that ever before, Colossus balls are so fucking OP now i cant even tell. ZvP was broken, so Blizz decides to make it even MORE broken what the FUCK? What are we supposed to NP now? "Oh you zerg players can only whine you can still fungal immortals" yeah you now how many toss players are going to build immortals now in zvp? the answer is ZERO because the fucking deathball is unstoppable now, it was hard to deal with it PRE-patch.
And dont tell me broodlords or the buffed ultralisks are supposed to counter the ball, the Colossus timing attack hits WAY before you are at T3 and simply roflstomps you.
This has to be a joke, otherwise blizzard has no CLUE what balance means.

It happens on the last IPL game last night ;
Zerg going full gling + infe in late game & preparing to switch ultra.
Before the switch the toss push with a decent amount of stalker & 6 colossi.
All the colossi got NP, it's no use to say what happened after

A very low percent of the users are bronze. In fact, you can't be too highly ranked either, as there are very, very few danes at the top of ladder and I know all of them.


I sure hope Blizzard won't cave in to the zerg whines this time, just because the Zerg community is by far the most vocal whiners Blizzard is solving the mass infestor build. It's a support unit, intended for support, not as a "I have three spells, one kills all small units, one controls the bigger units and one kills buildings" unit.
