Comparing last week's (Wednesday) "fight night" to the Tastosis duo, I found both good, preferring the self-entitled 'hetero-couple' for the GSLs though tbh.

I find it annoying whenever artosis comments on maps. They are either balanced or don't favor zerg in his opinion. It's not that I'm disagreeing with him it's just annoying hearing about it every 2 mins.
But listening how "every zerg thumbs that map down" is boring and not true. Dear god if he mentions how zergs can't get 3rd on JB or close position meta or dq I'll fly to korea to slap him!
I think he's to biased. Being random player I understood his sorrow in gsl1, but now it's just whining. More pew pew less qq.

I wouldn't watch GSL that much if it wasn't Tastosis commenting, and definately wouldn't have bought the season 3 ticket without them, so entertaining :D

My knowledge of the game has improved a ton because of all the insightful analysis of Tasteosis. I'm sure noobs all over the world have received the same benefits.

Yeah as far as the imba commentary criticism, this feels like the most overbearing aspect lately...while it is vital and entertaining for them to incorporate balance and the metagame into the commentary, it's getting to be a broken record with the "these maps are terrible for zerg" at the outset of every match, which of course diminishes the skill of the players before the game even starts by setting an expectation that one of the players (always zerg) is handicapped. I don't think I've ever heard them, or Artosis specifically since he directs the narrative most of the time, talk about the handicaps of Terran or Protoss. Even the most "egregious" of maps (Steppes) can be played to a zerg's advantage by a good player, as Idra used the short distance to make a spine crawler push for example.
And so really all we hear balance wise is how hard things are for Zerg, which I don't know how many GSLs a zerg has to win or how many 50/50/50 win percentages (give or take a few points) Blizzard has to release for there to be more balance to this imbalance commentary. What about how hard it is for Terran, or Protoss? Things are hard for everyone, ask anyone who plays random!

I think Artosis is doing a pretty poor job. Nothing personal against the guy, though. I agree with everyone saying he is biased and all other negative comments. However, I know I cannot do anything by just talking about it on forums. I am a pretty wealthy person and consider mailing GOMtv and offering them money to fire Artosis from his job. I think they would do it without getting payed if they just knowed what kind of things he is talking. It's not the first time he insulted a player. It's not the first time he has been talking SHIT on air live. (Sorry for the bad language). So I do not know Korean, but if some english speaking koreans could explain the GOM management what kind of commentator Artosis is, maybe they would consider firing him.
P.S. I am not the only person that dislikes him. I have many friends that also watch the GSL and they hate him as hell. Everyone seems to hate his biased speeches and other very bad things he has said. He should also remember he is not a cheerleader, he is a commentator we have no need for him to say "Go Go NaDa NaDa so good !!!!", but I don't want to give more examples, there are MANY, MANY cases which Artosis talks BS, but I know he will never learn and will never change, so I am not going to mention everything

Who cares about commentating, it should be easy enough to follow and I find them entertaining to listen to while watching.

While I agree that Artosis could tone done the negativity a bit on occasion (although the failed forge expands by I forget his name in season 2 were awful) I would take Artosis and his honesty any day over someone who censored himself and pretended he was being objective about things for which he is fundamentally biased. As others on this thread have said, artosis is very insightful and often right on about predicting what is going to happen and why. This legitimizes his criticisms of players' decision making (playing like trash) in my view.
There is a strong true element to your opinion: They should be make sure they are criticizing the decisions/play, not the player. As long as they stick to that, I think it adds a lot of interest to the cast.
Also, I find it offensive that just because you are wealthy you feel like you should have the power to fire Artosis. Because of this post, I feel the need to write a letter to GOMtv in his support. I'm sure there are many who enjoy their casts like me. Why should your opinion hold such weight?

During the late phase of beta i got kind of annoyed with Artosis, because all the posts he made was about how zerg was to imbalanced. But I dont think he has been that bad during Gom TV. Sure some times he might be a bit too biased, but overall doing a pretty decent job I think. Holdinga, what have Artosis said that was just really BS?

I have no problem with them at all. Its fine to be a little goofy and joking around and such, doesnt bother me. Artosis has done so much for the community that I can forgive him a couple of missteps here and there : P Keep rocking, Tastosis!

I just don't get why they support Clide so much of all the Terrans. The guy has horrible decision making in GSL games thus far. Game 2 against Leenock if he just popped a Raven out instead of getting just more units for the roaches to pick off while isolated and wasting scans at the same time he would be in the Ro32 right now....

I enjoy them for sure. I like their laid back attitude and mostly I listen to laugh. Clearly they are wrong occasionally, but I just deal with that for the fact they give some great humor and often good insight to the cast. Artosis has many sources to give him information most people aren't privy to. Sure he is zerg biased, but I think they should just have opposing views, not make him change his own. I want to hear what those guys have to say, not what a script tells them to.
No one would ever accuse Tastosis of hiding their true opinions and that makes them good casters in my mind.

I would also add , stop trying to sync with the korean commentators when the players names are said.
It's ridiculous , just follow a constant flow of comment and then insert the name shouting inside.
All this nonsense to try to sync with the korean voice is getting old

Ok, maybe i was being a little too hard. But I simply can't bear his attitude sometimes. But I thought more people would agree with me. Even though that other guy I think his name was Jason Lee, when he commentated, even though he knew NOTHING about the game, but he was always so positive, UNBIASED, and I watched all the games with a smile on my face. Sometimes Artosis brings a very negative mood to the games. By the way the insulting comments are just unacceptable. If we want to bring e-sports to a higher level, we have to compare it to regular sports. A regular sports commentator would never insult or be biased about such things. And it would be good for e-sports if people get better and better. A good start would be if Artosis somehow changed (I doubt it) or they replace him.
P.S. I remember a commentator was sued for a lot of money for calling David Beckham an idiot when he missed the penalty

Wait. Who the hell do you think you are with 3 posts threatening to get a long term member of the SC fired? Because you got money? I don't see how wanting to get a guy fired has anything to do with constructive feedback.
This whole 'Artosis is biased' mentality seems to feed itself. Maybe he is a bit, but it's not near as bad as people are making it out to be. But people got this "Artosis is biased" group-think going on.
I also strongly disagree that Tastosis are not taking their job seriously. They've made tremendous stride inbetween seasons and I think they will continue to do so. Am I the only one that remembers how much everyone complained about the observers during Jason Lee's casting- observing that supposedly was done by the Koreans. Considering Tasteless is doing the job of two Koreans, he's doing fine.

Like others have said, I agree Artosis can be a bit biased and Tasteless seems to "not do his homework" as well as he should. But honestly I could just watch them talk about absolutely nothing and still be entertained. They're just too funny. In the end, Artosis clearly knows A LOT about the game and any human being will be biased no matter how hard he tries to mask it, and Tasteless is just awesome. I wouldn't want Tastosis to be replaced by anyone, I probably wouldn't even watch GOMTV if it weren't for them casting.
