How do I beat Thor/Siege Tank as Zerg?

No matter what I do I keep getting beat by a mix of Thor/Siege Tank/Marines...

I feel like each time I play vs this build, I can isolate and expand vs the terran, but no matter what army I get, he alwys just steamrolls ovver me with 4 siege tanks and 3 thors and a couple marines for air support.

I tried ling/muta or hydra/roach/infestor but I get owned every time. Any tips? What should I get?

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=113479 , you should include replays.

im no expert, but even a 1base zerg should be able to kill 4tanks and 3 thors with only lings and infestors imo

hydra/roach/infestor > broods is ideal. Try to engage when he isn't sieged. burrowed movement is good, NP some thors/tanks, and if he gets too many tanks all you can really do is get broods.

mass roach. adding burrow and those "move while burrowed" claws helps alot. pop out under their army and win. infestors with NP used to be great too but seem to be a little bit too late on the battlefield since patch11. adding some banelings to a huge roach army is also a good choice imho.

depends on his rine count.
If he has really really really large ammount of rines, then the only way to plow through something like that is massive ammounts of units.

Roaches, hydralisk comes to mind. Make sure your roaches is speed, burrow m upgraded. Make sure hydralisk is upgraded. Make sure your you have good upgrades from chambers.

You would want to burrow under his army and pop up near or underneath the rines so that you can quickly reduce his dps, then massacre everything with hydraroaches.

Another way is through the sky. If his army composition is incredibly mech heavy, Upgrade overlord drops and drop roaches on top of his tanks. spend a lord and drop it into his main whenever he moves out.

Hard to say w/o replays really.

Pure lings beat any build that fails to make hellions (except for marine heavy builds.... countered by banelings). Siege tanks take 4 seconds to siege, when he is moving is the time to strike.
Be versatile, know when to retreat, and carry a big gun.

Im a terran player and i feel like thor /siege is too inmobile, just make tons of units and swarm the terran when he tries to push into your base. I think both lings hydras and roach can work or just a mix.

Burrowed roaches underneath the tanks, with support from hydralisks to clean up. Basically, the roaches need to tank out the tanks as soon as possible, and then after that it is safe for the hydras to move in.

I just beat a zerg with marine/tank on lost temple and there were a few things I was vulnerable to:

-A mass ling runby (or attack while his tanks are unsieged, but I crept across the map leapfrogging tanks)
-A nydus (if not in his main then somewhere behind his tanks
-A ton of roaches (not roach hydra infestor mix, just a tooon of roaches
(-possibly a roach/baneling combination)

Some of these are map dependent for sure, but siege tanks lack mobility and marines lack hitpoints (they die fast from tank splash).

Against only 4 tanks though I feel that just a mass ling army or a ling/baneling army would do perfectly fine. It just comes down to knowing when to make drones and when to start making lings

Yeah i feel as if im not winning at all by containing Terran or Protoss. In fact, they purposely contain themselves. Doing a dance and expanding a few times is actually as bad idea because when the mid game push comes they will just flat out steamroll all over the map. Your expansions are not up long enough for you to have a great econ advantage and you certainly havnt had enough time to get to tier 3 broods, thats just a joke.

Terran and Toss, especially Protoss, have such a strong mid game push advantage against Zerg. Its really hard and one of the biggest holes in my game. I feel like if i dont win early game then im doomed. The 9 minute push is too early for the expo to be giving you an advantage and the expo ruins any chance you have to heavy tech.

I havent quite figured it out myself.

infestor roach, use burrow to get right under the siege tanks, then engage with other roaches and fungal and pop your roaches under the tanks, this is one of the least mobile armies terran have, abuse burrowed roaches and parasite later game
savior did nothing wrong
