As a Jd fan right now is a great time, while he loses his fair share on stream, he has been bringing an incredibly high level of play to leagues and matches including a win in escore 1 (lost the next one), displaying both the best ling and muta micro of any zerg recently. As a lover of Zvt/Tvz this is most likely going to be the matchup of the event for me. Recently, light has not just been getting good results, he has been demonstrating the highest level of bio play in the matchup. While I don't get to feel confident in a sure JD win, I do feel that both players are primed to bring us very strong craft. Lastly, I have no idea if it will be used tonight, but a few days ago I was watching JD on soop playing ssak, and his opening was 3 hat before pool, with one of the hats being at his natural and the other being at another base. A variation I have never seen played in a major league (could have just missed it, I missed yrs of craft tbh). His results with this build were negative but it showed some real promise, he used it for 3-4 games in a row. Well yeh, but zergs will typically consume/swarm once its irradiated to get some value out of it. He kind of gets irradiated, moves to consume something and then doesn't and moves them forward to get tanked. Light's definitely doing a good job irradiating them down but JD is getting absolutely nothing out of so many of them | ||

I think what lost Light the game was the combination of having his first drop completely blocked and right after losing like 3 vessels for nothing. He was already low on vessels because he focused on getting dropships but losing them really hurt. | ||

I won't begrudge Snow at all if he can pull it off (winning against FlaSh and Light and probably having to break his Zerg semi-curse). Most importantly though, I hope we get matches of the quality of tonite's game for the rest of the tourney, Jaedong+Light was a treat to watch and much better than last weeks games. | ||

Would have loved to see Jaedong advance. I guess it wasn't destiny afterall. I still liked how decisevely he played. Light played well. That timing push in G5 looked extremely scary. Jaedong was just spread too thin I guess. | ||

You make a great point, I don't want to pretend game 5 was bad. I just would have preferred the tension lasted longer. When Jd failed to kill that tank at 6, suddenly it was GG... I just wish game 5 was a bit longer. Not a bad game, but in context it fell short of "an epic deciding match in an epic series" quality. | ||
