I guess Best really thought True was going to go early mutas and went a hard counter with the DA. But True just made lots of drones instead and the game was all but over by the time Best could move out. Great play from True though. His counter play and defiler defence was spot on.

Can't play like noob level where you can place something blindly "just in case" for extra safe measure because it doesn't matter in the long term since your opponents are bad too. Zerg doesn't make extra lings, Terran doesn't make extra Turrets blindly "just in case" like that too.

Protoss is just not on the level of Z & T in overall faction strength, map balance and player ability. aiur has been the punching bag in BW and it will continue. buff scouts maybe that could make protoss stronger :^)

I know im a fucking nooby but i'd love to see someone good make 2 DA and leverage the mana pool aggressively. I just wanna see it one time.

So the only way to hold off an early game hydra bust is to "play like noob level" and play "blindly"? Come on. I wanted Best to win, but he fell behind from the start because he didn't check/recheck for hydras. That's pretty significant.

Like it's w/e but Best got like no value out of the DA and didn't really try anything else. I've seen it done with great success vs mass hydra and lurker. But heavy lurker and ling builds counter DAs pretty hard. Maelstrom isn't good vs lings and DAs are a bitch to micro against defilers. They're awesome vs muta balls but I think reavers are probably a better late game investment.

Maybe 1 to counter mutas or 1 maelstrom on ground units before it gets popped then that's it. i get that it's hard to control and prolly better in my head than in practice but i still wanna see it. the cool thing is they're a lot faster than HT. IDK. w/e
