So todays the day I've been waiting for, I couldn't wait for a thread so I made one 11 hours early... I mean c'mon its friggin' SAVIOR and the GREAT NADA! But yeah, both matchups today are mirror matchups ZvZ and TvT, so expect some fun as well as some boredom as we might see some mutas and lings gangbang eachother as well as 30 min matches with tanks slowly inching up the middle of python at a rate of 1mm an hour.

Thoughts:
If this was a matchup based on looks, sAviOr would definitely win, I mean YellOw[ArnC] looks like he's doping or something, and don't get this YellOw[ArnC] confused with the original YellOw who might win against sAviOr in a hotness contest. But if this was a matchup based on skill, I'd still go with sAviOr. Even if ZvZ is sAviOr's worst matchup, I feel confident that sAviOr will pull something out of his ass and destroy YellOw[ArnC]. Only thing that worries me is YellOw[ArnC]'s 100% win streak for ZvZ on Peaks with 5 wins with wins against GGPlay, ChoJJa, as well as other large zerg players, and his current hotness cannot go unnoticed. Only way I see sAviOr losing, is if he manages to lose to YellOw[ArnC] in one of the first 2 matches, then with YellOw[ArnC]'s 100% win streak on Peaks, I'd start to worry. But all is not lost, sAviOr said he wanted to win a WCG, so let's see him put his mutas where his mouth is. Overall, I'd say sAviOr has this in the bag, you can't underestimate the dominance of the Maestro.

I'm gonna try and not be biased on this, obviously cause I'm a big fan for the great NADA and obviously cause Sea[Shield] is such a chump. But of the two matchups today, I think this one is the one Liquibetters are gonna worry about. On one side you have the great NADA, who if you haven't heard of his name with Starcraft, you're obviously a ****tard, versus some chump named Sea[Shield], who thinks he can handle the great NADA. Now the great NADA as of late has been on a hot winning streak with FOUR wins, thats right count 'em (OK I'll give you a few seconds...) but that can't take away from the fact that he wasn't doing so hot before with a massive string of losses, but then again this is the Golden Mouse winner, the Genius Terran. The fact that his status has been fluctuating as of late makes this hard to predict. His map percentages versus T make it even worse when compared to that chump named Sea[Shield]. The chump named Sea[Shield] has a devastating record on Pyton with 5 wins against players like oov, darkelf, and sheis (obviously chumpman deluxe sea cheated), but I feel that the great NADA can't be underestimated on this matchup, cause he could very well pull off some crazy strats like he's known to do. You never know, he might start doing mass optical flares or multi nukes or even an SCV rush, and on the other hand you have Sea[Shield] who's pretty dominant in Terran, good for him, cheater. So due to unknown reasons, I'm gonna have to give this matchup to the great NADA... *cough*NADA FIGHTING!! own that loser Sea[Shield]*cough*...

That is quite true. His ZvZ was quite bad. But even at that time, his brother had a great ZvZ, it was talked about. And like brother, like brother.... his ZvZ improved a lot and his record is actually positive now. I'd even say it is very good now.

Yarnc used to suck at ZvZ, but lately he's on a roll. Savior is solid in this matchup, but not so dominant as Yarnc, GGplay or Chojja...
Sea > NaDa
Lately, NaDa's play just doesn't seem as hot as it used to while Sea is just a monster across the board.

Well, Savior says he'd really like to play abroad more, so he should take this seriously. On the other hand he's been very busy, and probably hasn't practiced much for this.
Yarnc is damn good, so I'll vote for him even though he may not have this one as a priority event..

I think 9 ov pool is concise and clear enough. Especially because that's what I call it.

yarnc went lot of lings. since he went 3 hatch he has his spire a lot slower than savior. savior doesnt have that many lings, but his spire is almost done

In 3 hatch vs. 2 hatch with faster gas it's all about the 3 hatch mass ling timing attack just before mutas pop. Yarnc will be able to produce a frightening amount of lings with the fast 3 hatcheries.

yarnc has a shitload of lings, since his spire is behind, tries to get into saviors base. kills a sunken, a lot of lings die, but savior has 3 mutas out, but yarnc has like 12 lings in saviors base running around

while this happens, yarnc is constantly sending in lings and scourges into saviors main, savior manages to micro out of hte scourges, and killing the lings at this point savior looks like he has like 8-10 mutas and 8 lings. yarnc doesnt have that much

Nada really lasted longer than he should have. I was disappointed with Sea's big picture strategy and decision-making skills after he secured the lead with the initial push against Nada's greedy build. Sea was complacent with his unit advantage and tried camping out tank/gol around places in the middle of the map and later at Nada's nat which he killed. However, Nada consistently played smart and went drop-heavy, doing a few good drops at Sea's main throughout the game. Then when Sea took his 4th base, he chose the 1 o' clock island wtf. I mean, Nada was going for drops, and Sea had more units on land, so Nada was able to deal some damage to that as well.
But Sea was just too ahead in macro. I don't even think Nada knew about the ports at the end or all of the other expos.

Sea is a monster. He is one of the steadiest players I've ever seen.
NaDa is too volatile. His skill/preparation fluctuates too much. On high ends, it surpasses most progamers. On low ends, he loses too easily. Sad to see a great player unable to dictate his play on a consistent basis.
NaDa is the type of player who starts playing well after a slump through sheer determination and practice. Somehow he always needs to dip a little lower before he comes back up and dominates. He should focus a bit more and not lose focus so that he becomes more consistent.

The fact that his status has been fluctuating as of late makes this hard to predict. His map percentages versus T make it even worse when compared to that chump named Sea[Shield]. The chump named Sea[Shield] has a devastating record on Pyton with 5 wins against players like oov, darkelf, and sheis (obviously chumpman deluxe sea cheated), but I feel that the great NADA can't be underestimated on this matchup, cause he could very well pull off some crazy strats like he's known to do. You never know, he might start doing mass optical flares or multi nukes or even an SCV rush, and on the other hand you have Sea[Shield] who's pretty dominant in Terran, good for him, cheater. So due to unknown reasons, I'm gonna have to give this matchup to the great NADA... *cough*NADA FIGHTING!! own that loser Sea[Shield]*cough*...

NaDa is the type of player who starts playing well after a slump through sheer determination and practice. Somehow he always needs to dip a little lower before he comes back up and dominates. He should focus a bit more and not lose focus so that he becomes more consistent.
You could have this kind of arguement only because NaDa is ON THE STAGE for almost the whole pro-gaming history. I don't think anyone would have thought the word of inconsistence has anything to do with the name of Savior or Oov. But in my opinion, these two guys are ways from achieving the same level of consistency as NaDa has already done in the last 7 years.

I can`t believe this shit. That is the same what people have said when Nadas dad died (and Nada hit slump). But no Lee Yoon Yeol did not quit. Yoon Yeol has made a promise and won starleague. If all players would quit so easily we wouldn`t have SC progaming today.
Just because he lost two games in WCG he should retire? There is no doubt in my mind that Nada will win one msl or osl this year. Just as he always does. Genius terran may not be playing his best lately, but even with that kind of play he is in next osl/msl. Nada will reach powerhouse mode sooner or later this year. The best off all, he is only 22.

I'm pretty sure NaDa only went pro in early 2002, so it's 5-6 years of dominance.
But I do know what you mean. NaDa's style has been copied by people for 5 years (that is to say, he's been a BIG name pro for that long) and yet even now he plays so well. On the other hand, you have guys like GF and Sync who seem to have disappeared since having their moment in the sun.
I think Oov and Savior will probably remain at the top, but only time can say for sure.

Also the only reason Nada can be said to have this rape slump rape slump is because he's still around after years and years, almost no other pro has his consistency of performance, not the other way around . You can't even talk about these patterns spanning years with other pros cause none of them have been around as long as Nada has and he's still capable of kicking anyone's ass.

Anyways if I was 22 and never had any decent girlfriends etc as a progamer I'd pay more attention to my girlfriend than gaming, especially when I've already made tons of money from winning, am already a settled in pro, and qualified for the major tournies in Korea.

well oov hasnt really been on the top for quite some time. still a very good pro whos consistantly in leagues and has moments of brilliance, but you cant really rank him with the likes of savior and bisu right now.

Sea and Nada are both really cool terran players. So i'm ok with this result.
Nada can do whatever he want's these days if you ask me. He's been here for so long, had dramatic ups and downs. I don't mind if he's chilling with his girlfriend for a bit.
Cause y'all know. When he want's it, he can stomp all of em. He's mechanically a perfect terran (awesome micro awesome macro). He's the one who's been able to adapt to all styles.
All he needs is determination.
