Even if you did rely on that sample size, you would have to conclude that it IS imbalanced, each matchup has a 100% win or loss rate with only 1 game played...

Adapting to a new/unique map is a very important skillset in brood war, and one that has been missing from the foreign scene for a very long time. ASL players are forced to play both sparkle and transistor, with no vetos, no dodging and little to no complaining. Listening to one person because he's salty he lost on a map he never practiced on (that's on him, not anyone else) is very counterproductive. Also, the map really isn't that imbalanced, most top players have a larger than 50% win rate in all matchups, meaning any imbalance can be overcome by player skill.

It's not even about sparkle in general (although I love the map), just that I think 'is able to play well on many different types of maps' should be a valued skill-set. Being able to completely veto either one or two (depending on rank) out of a 6 map pool detracts from that. I also think sparkle has been incredibly refreshing. As far as balance is concerned, the fact is out of the map pool (sparkle cb blue storm longi tau jade) there are strong imbalances present for most of those matchups. Looking at starlogg % by race for players at 2100+ or 2400+ (proleague cutoff being between those two), zerg is totally fucked on longinus, p is totally fucked pvz tau, (and jade), t struggles tvp jade. But it's always possible to get a balanced map in round 1, and then you both get one pick after.. Basically my point is I really like the system how it is now and I don't understand the need for change.

I prefer practice few interesting tactics on interesting maps more then just mass gaming FS/CB over and over again. I don't think it's a good time for change anything for this stage of the tournament, but for playoff maybe? It will be more interesting to have 4 different maps over 6 maps (few of them you will never play anyway, but maybe you want to use some special tactic on Tau Cross, but your opponent will ban it, so all your effort for map preparetion will gone)

Copy their playstyle on new maps (or maybe even bring something new if you talanted enough!). I feel like dinosaur when i have to play Tau or Longinus tbh :D. This maps is more inbalanced then Sparkle or Transistor for me.
