Jaedong, you are still the man! A few more successful tactical strats and your aggression would've won out. They should design a much better map to take a 3rd base.

Fairly big as anyone who's massed game can attest, not to mention the permanent damage. Ultimately the East Asian method of madness to study until you collapse is objectively foolish.

I'd recommend watching the vod on ASL's Afreeca channel http://afreeca.tv/36855042/v/57798 All vods at: http://afreeca.tv/2016ASL

Idra used to make a lot of rage posts about how defilier late game was impossible, all the zerg had to do was camp, muta micro was too good etc. We might see terran dominate right until the end of bw simply because of the existing incentives/distribution of skill, but I dont for a second think the meta has fully been figured out. Given enough resources (interesting players/conducive environments) im sure there are quite a few meta game switches that still "out there" to be discovered. Personally hopeful that mech switch will get more and more soft countered, as aggro bio player is vastly more entertaining to play against and watch. After a series like this is not the best time to start going off on a big, confirmation bias laden search for evidence that supports your initial suspicion. You'll be able to find the stats that support your view if you look hard enough.... No one stat can "prove" balance, but something that manages to be forgotten a lot is that from 2009 till the end of BW in 2012, only Flash and Fantasy made it to an OSL or MSL final out of Terrans, but something like 7 or 8 Zergs made it to a final.

It will be sad if Flash retires due to trolls though, how dumb can they be? Not what the scene needs right now and for sure, not what Flash deserves especially with all he has achieved. I don't really see how Terran is dominating right now, not all Terrans are Flash. Mech switch is overhyped, sure it's strong but zergs can handle it quite well if they don't go into late game with disadvantage. And we have definitely seen different builds/transitions in the last two years, one gate expand has completely changed ZvP, mid-late game muta switching against mech, super fast hive with queens nest before den (which actually works quite often), three base openers becoming somewhat popular and not only in Benzene, Last's variation with 2star-> late mech and probably more stuff in TvP which I don't know about.

If the current setup is hurting players should future RTS implement other controller options than mouse and keyboard? There are no real alternatives. Controllers are far less flexible in terms of what they provide. For something like Fighting games they're good but RTS games need so many different hotkeys that basically only keyboard and mouse can provide. Even if there was a good alternative they're already comfortable with their current setup so it would cost a fair bit to transition into a different control scheme.

I remember that when Mew2King started having problems in Smash, a few people with knowledge of the area (?) commented that there are physical therapists who specialize in helping guitarists, etc. to work on their ergonomics and muscle control and teaching exercises and stretches that can help avoid injury. But maybe these players have already had access to all that.
