Replays of the games can be found here.
+ Show Spoiler +13-15 games (can't remember if there was a walkover) are missing since people didn't upload them. I'm not going to message all the individuals to try to get them though. I think this is just a good indication that if there's to be a next iteration of Crispy Cup, I will have to use a better system than challonge.com

nice tour, i caught some of the cast earlier finals to be played next sunday?
|
Losers Final and Grand Final are yet to be played. Probably will happen next sunday in the evening, but if I remember correctly Crispy/B-royal wanted to check with the three remaining players (and maybe CatsPaw that did a great job solo casting for hours!!!) if the time is ok for them before announcing a specific time.

GG team Netwars! Top3: Trutacz, Bonyth and I. :D
We'll align on time to play finals.

More games/casts on Sivery Waves, please!

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Since this was the first edition, inextricably there would be some issues. It didn't help that we were with only 2 admins to handle everything.
There were 4 big issues in my opinion:
- Bracket confusion: I mistakenly let people start their games before removing the people that didn't check-in. Since it was double elimination, it would not have been easy to just give walkovers to people.
- People playing the wrong maps
One of the rules was that people were not allowed to choose their maps in a series. There was a predetermined order of the maps.
Since people were already playing games, I decided to ignore this rule. I'm not sure which one of the options is the best for future tournaments. On one hand I think it's a good thing to allow players to choose their map, it adds an extra level of strategy. But on the other hand, I think people will almost never choose the unfamiliar maps such as silvery waves, which is disappointing.
- People not uploading their replays (properly)
Especially Koget forgot to upload all of his replays.
- Not having the correct BOs for losers bracket.
I hadn't investigated closely enough how double elimination actually works. I didn't specify the BOs for the loser bracket, so I had to improvise and chose bo3s for almost all of the rounds.
So Freakling, I only have 5 replays on Silvery waves, when there should have been 8+. Sorry for that

You shouldn`t had removed those who didn`t check-in, in order to not to confuse the bracket itself, as happened. As a suggestion before making a tour you should test the system you are going to use to avoid problems. If that site doesn`t remove the ones not checked in, or there isn`t an option to to do it, then probably it isn`t worth working with. I can`t recall which sites I used, but they`re probably down anyway, so I can`t help you with this one.

It crossed my mind that you thought the maps should be used this way, altough I wasn`t sure. As a used to be tour organizer, I`d say if you plan on deviating from the standard (ie: loser chooses the map) you have to make it absolutely clear and simple what you mean/want. Thanks for the tour, it was fun.

Thanks for the feedback. What is your iCCup name, just curious
Official announcement: Losers' finals will go through on Sunday, at 7 PM CEST. The tournament finals will be held almost straight afterwards!
Waiting on a confirmation of iloveav if he wants to cast.
|
Update: Good news, Iloveav has confirmed he will be casting unless something bad happens. Just to let you know, I myself will not be present due to unforeseen circumstances.
This should not be an issue since players can update the scores and upload the replays themselves.
Good luck and everyone have fun tonight!

I may have problem to play the finals today.. sorry guys, I hope it is possible to play the grand final for example tomorrow. Trutacz and Bonyth will still play for the grand final - maybe they can bo5 instead of bo3?

I just came back home. Sorry to hear! Yes that is fine, as long as it gets played and we can get a stream going I'm still happy...

We've agreed with Trutacz to play it today, around 21 CET. Anyone willing to stream? (or Trutacz and I can live stream mb)
