Important Update
In yesterday's Blood Bath Tournament the replay upload was apparently broken. Currently the developers of ingame try to fix the issue. However, it might happen that the report function might still bug. In case of bugs, please contact the tournament admins and tell the results. Also, winners should prepare to manually forward (via host or upload) their games, so we have stuff to cast. Thanks!
Also, please note that you must register an account on incup.eu and set a screen name (ICCup nick), before you can sign up / check-in. If you can't figure it out, please ask an admin right away. If everything else fails, and only if(!), we might lend you our accounts. For this, please contact the personell in channel broodwar.de on ICCup. Thanks.

One of the oldest Brood War fanpages, broodwar.de, is going to host tournaments again. The page itself used to cover a lot of stuff for the German speaking scene - the  BWCL, the BW4Ever Tournaments, a giant VOD database and obviously the German national team. In the past three years relatively few happened there, but today they released a note - they're back in action.
What? Prizes? Info?
Actually, the page to sponsor is not exactly broodwar.de. Broodwar.de is part of the ingame.de network - which features a lot more titles. Hence the new name InStarcraft.de. One of their partner pages, inhearthstone.de, promotes the new part of the network. This will be uninteresting for most, yet it's important. InHearthstone was so nice to support former broodwar.de with prizes - 10 Hearthstone Betakeys. For all of you who are as unfamiliar with the eSports scene as I am: Hearthstone is some Blizzard Trading Card Game. Apparently it's quite cool, so maybe you want to try it out. Regardless, there will be a lot of Brood War - so sign up and play.
From Friday (25th) to Sunday (27th) three tournaments will be hosted on ICCup. Every tour has a theme - one for fun and team play, one features modern maps and one features really old and nasty stuff.
Friday, 25th: Blood Bath Tournament
The name says it all - a 1on1 tournament, Single Elimination on Blood Bath only. The finalists get a Betakey each. Yey! Sadly, at the moment, there's no caster for this tournament. If you're interested let me know, I'll forward you!

Saturday will be pure standard. A simple 1on1 Single Elimination Tournament, Bo1 until Quarterfinals. Top 4 will receive a Betakey - but they have to play all games; this means you should not simply walk away if you are in the Top8. You have to continue! After all, Brood War is awesome.

Modes and prizes are the same as with the modern tournament - 1on1 SE, Bo1 until Quarterfinals, 4 Keys. Games have to be played!

The original Lost Temple map had the following positional imbalances:
On 6 o'clock, it is impossible to build a wall-in with Barrack and 2 Supply Depots.
The 6 o'clock position had a distinctly inefficient mineral structure, leading to less minerals mined per unit time.
Terran players were able to land a tank on a small piece of land on the bottom left side of the 6 o'clock base that made it safe from melee attacks.
On 12 o'clock, it is possible to place tank on the natural cliff and be able to hit the vespene geyser at the 3 o'clock position.
On 12 o'clock, due to the bad mineral formation of the natural expansion, Terran players expanding there do not have enough space to attach an add-on to their Command Center.
On 12 o'clock, the base entrance is too far from natural, making FE harder (Zergs must make 3hatch in order to FE).
The 9 o'clock position's natural expansion and mineral only expansion were both vulnerable from the same cliff.
On a side note, I don't think that Luna is imba enough to be included alongside the rest of the maps.

Also I think bottom left and top right have pretty difficult PvZ walls for FFE, or maybe I'm jsut remembering that wrong

A hasubos is like a gosu obs, which is an obs who detects and see everything at key location, but hasu you know, who moves slower than dragoons, who suicides on a turret and who make you banned because a terran accidentaly build a turret below it.

I find it puzzling that the tournament page says CET, as germany is currently in CEST time (CET+1, aka GMT+2) is it correct (so for istance friday's tournament is 19:30 german time) or is it instead 18:30 german time (so CEST and not CET)?

it's local time. Friday, Saturday are CEST, Sunday CET.

yea you're right, Europe goes back to normal time(non-summer) at 3:00 Sunday, which risks to cause even more confusion after all :D please clarify the OP and the tournament page for those that aren't on central eu time (i can just look at my watch and know) ^^

I'm not sure many understand the difference either way. I "updated" the OP and added that you could simply double check witht he TL calendar (obviously you have to substract an hour for check-in, but it should be doable)

well, it's nice of you, to bring it to our attention. However, it is tricky as you mentioned, coz Europe goes back to CET on Sunday. I hope, that the update in the OP will clarify things.

Perhaps you can remember from the tours, we dont have all replays, because the replay upload on incup is broken. We had to collect replays for the cast manually. I can however help you out with races and ICC ID's on most players i think.
