I think FiSheYe vs Yellow would be a fucking rape and FiSh wouldnt have any chance..
PvP vs Reach is like.. uh.. Reach's just too good..
I think vs rA or NaDa Fisheye has the best chances.. but still pretty unlikely.. even mondi had better chances winning vs nal_rA and reach but failed.. so.. eh ;D

About the contestants chosen: yeah they may not be the absolute best skill-wise, but I, personally, think that's great. I may be alone here, but when I think of a showmatch I don't think of getting the aboslute best and having them go at it like a championship, I think of it as a chance for all the people involved to show-off their abilities. And the best way to do that is to take the most dynamic, innovative people(at a high level of skill) and pit them against each other. We have tons of leagues and ladders that give us games and vods and reps of the greatest players in the world going at it toe to toe playing the game as it's been refined to be played.

I mean, personally, I get somewhat tired of seeing mondi v x zvp where both players play flawless zvp/pvz. I want to see two players go at it where there is no way to know what's coming, no standard play, long-ingrained counters, and bo's to execute. I want to see eri do his muta+queen infest rush, I want to see scvs ensnared and lurk dropped, I want to see fisheye pull off any number of totally retarded builds that work.

For my money, the foreigner line-up is a good one, though for my own dreams I would love to see satanik there because of his playstyle. Fisheye, satanik, eri, pj; that'd be a great lineup, don't you think? Not the greatest foreign bw has to offer, no. Arguably none of them would be there in that case. But for a showmatch, can you think of a different group that has more to offer in the way of sexy strats pulled off to perfection against the best of the best? I can't.

Maareek your entire post is wrong. Eriador doesnt deserve to go and you propose sataNik going... well hes just terrible. Besides his well practiced cheese strats he has very little overall skill compared to any korean, let alone a top foreigner. FiSheYe deserves this and i suppose Pj deserves it. There could be much better choices in the other 2 spots as you saw what a retired progamer in AranG did to Sen's zerg.

Fact of the matter is, these won't even be close if the koreans bring their A game, especially if Nada plays either Sen or Eriador. I might watch that game for the humor though. Theres no point in a showmatch maareek if its not competitive, and I have a feeling almost all the games wont be. You see players like eri pulling off "sexy" strats vs slightly above average players online that will never make it on the tv while he'll be up against a top korean progamer who is very seasoned. Oh and eri will be dead long before he even gets the economy vs NaDa to make queen and infest with any hope of winning.

oh well guyz i haven't had much time to play but i'll try to make the best of it anywayz....and then he'll get raped.

nothin against eri but he soo doesnt belong there, he doesn't even play bw a lot according to himself, there's a bunch of ppl that would've been better picks for sure

to daaman: I don't play bw much either atm so I wouldn't be a good pick anyways.

im really not offended by those who claim I don't belong, because I've never practiced for any tourney ever so I have no problems understanding why people assume I won't do it now either.

but I can promise that I will try as hard as I can to practice as much as I manage to, and I've made sure to make no plans whatsoever for the following week so I can practice as much as possible. hoping to get like 15-20 games every day.. so oh well

thanks for support from those who give it and I'll try to prove the sceptical ones wrong, although then again, even if I do play my best and practice a lot, beating any of these players is gonna be really really hard, so the only promise I can give is effort. :p
but I _will_ try my hardest. partially because this is gonna be my only chance to beat a progamer in an important game, and partially because it's easy to argue that someone else deserves this more than I do, and I don't want the spot I was given to be a complete waste.

nadas tvz if he focuses is too strong

but ive heard sen is good zvz (may be completely wrong) but even if he isnt, its still probably his best chance vs yellow

Its not important if foreigners have 'better chance' cuz its only theoretical, and if Ra is weakest @ PvP so it doesnt mean that FisheYe will have better chance to win ^.^
