I think this game has clearly and exhaustively proven that making static defense is incommensurably less wasteful than not making static defense. What was that, like 100 overlords? Also he had hydra tech, and with just making 5-6 hydras guard the ovies, I think it would've been a little bit more helpful.

I hope they can come back from this awful start..the last thing we need is another team disbanding.

How much damage does a spore do during that time? Or a hanful of Hydras for that matter. Plague + Hydra would have been helpful, or better scourge spreading + Valk hunting earlier on (im aware its very difficult). But no, a Spore or two or a handful of Hydra wouldn't have helped. And Canata kept repairing his Valks when they are Plagued T_T The Dong was behind right after the opening tho, when he got his 3rd denied..

Spores and some hydras would help. Jaedong was supplied block half the freaking game. It was so painful to watch. It reminded me PvZ from 2007 when Zerg didn't know how to act when dealing with corsairs,,,

What terran would rather have valks than vessels in late game? It worked because Jaedong's entire anti-air is composed of muta, scourge, and a few hydras that later morphed into lurkers. Edit: Jaedong basically fell apart that game. Something's wrong when multiple defilers died by mines and vultures. It seems really silly to go-- Late game mass valks revolution!~ based on a game where JD played horrendously.

Really sad to admit, but JD is not a very flexible player. Hes stubborn as hell, and most of the time he will force the game to bend his way (which is amazing!). He sees an opening, he will take it and crush you with that, but once he picks a tech tree he will stick with it till he wins or dies.. Can't adapt well... even when he wins some games it feel like he coulda won so much easier. That zvp on chain reaction a couple weeks ago.... he went mass mass mass hydra and since its jaedong's macro it worked. But if he just morphed in a couple lurks and played a tiny little bit smarter he woulda CRUSHED the p from the start of the game, instead of dragging it on and giving him an opportunity to even it up (actually I think the P was ahead at one point) I think zvz is the exception to that rule though..
