Unfortunately due to being called in and having to work all day + finals next week there is just no way I am going to be ready for this tomorrow.
Due to the success and popularity of our D/D- tournament we felt it was time for another lower-level player tournament. The D-/D guys have had their turn, so now its time for all of you at D+ to get your own go at tournament play!
***Since the tournament has not yet filled signups are now open to people who hold D rank.***

Format: 32 Player Single Elimination Tournament (BO5 Finals)
Map Pool:
RO32 - Circuit Breaker
RO16- La Mancha
RO8 - Outside
Semi-Finals - Icarus
Finals - Set 1 is on Fighting Spirit; after that loser picks map from pool of (Fighting Spirit, Circuit Breakers, Pathfinder, Outsider, Icarus, La Mancha, Neo Aztec, Neo Beltway, New Bloody Ridge)
WHO: Legit D+ Players only. If you have been C- or better in the past six months please don't join. This is a for fun tournament to give D+ players a chance to play in a tournament setting. After this I will be hosting a C ranks type tournament so you guys will get your chance to play as well.
If we don't get 32 D+ players I will open sign-ups to D ranked players that would like to play.
Sign ups are only through TL at this time to help prevent smurfing. You do NOT have to be a member of sGs to sign up. The only requirements are that you'll be available to play the whole tourney if necessary and that you have a MAX rank of D+.

Okay, seeing the way the poll is trending I'm thinking this: Play the RO32, 16, 8 on the scheduled date with me casting the round of 32 tournament weekend, then RO16/8 casted the next weekend. Semi's/Finals would then be played 2 weeks from the tournament date and be casted live.
That way all matches get casted but everyone gets to enjoy the fun of a live finals and players get a chance to prepare for opponents/maps/builds.

It's a thought, however I'm still worried that time is an issue because once you get into BO3's and beyond it becomes quite possible for sets to take well over an hour and not everyone has 6+ hours they can just be waiting around to play there games.

I wish I could participate in this. GL to all involved.
I think L_Master has the right of it doing bo1's. bo3s could get all spread out over hours and difficult to coordinate, doubly so since he would be casting and coordinating.

My suggestion is Bo1's till Ro4 with Double Elim. Ro4 onwards is Bo3. Start casting from Ro4 and then just cast whatever pops up earlier than that as long as it doesn't dig into time. Might take a few hours at most.
Otherwise you get too much variance. Last tourney a couple of decent players got knocked out because some D- guy went random and cheesed every game, its really not fun to be on the receiving end of that stick (I ended up knocking him out, but it was a terrible game and I didn't enjoy it).

So I barely made C- last season, more off of luck than skill. Only had a 30% win rate, played a lot of motw, and went on a win streak just as the season ended. Any chance I could still play?
