Interesting, Tyson gets an observer after reaver to help spot Stats' forces outside his nat - tries to break out but 2 of his goons are stuck inside his base Still his reaver is doing a lot of damage
At at large cost of probes, and the new reaver, Tyson brings stats down to 1 goon in his base But Stats' next round of 3 goons come in and Tyson only has 2
wtf was CH thinking? how is it a good idea to attack into a Sunken with less Lings? Wasn't it OBVIOUS that Hyun would just use his far superior Zergling count during the Muta battle to destroy CHs natural?

I think he actually had more when he attacked - but he was trying to runby and Hyun's lings blocked most of them - and he lost a spectacular amount of lings in that attack for like 1 drone kill in Hyun's main
Sea's small group of mnm walking over 4 hold lurkers - Hoejja with incredible patience waits until they're right over them (luring them with other muta/lurk) and destroys them
Lurker/mutaling attacks Sea's 3rd but Sea has a few marines and a bunker ready - stims before jumping into the bunker, and HOejja loses a surprising amount of lurker/muta/ling in that attack
So how was that drop, I can't watch this game and reading LR thread makes me confused, a few say it's an awful drop, another few say tons of SCV died. I guess I'll trust Zona our official LRer !
now lings attack the scvs at 4.5 after 4 is completely razed
Sea countering with a tank-heavy army to the north a lot more get broodling'd but still a good amount but hydraling rushing to meet them and it'll soon be over

What do you mean by "return back to their original form?" They die automatically once they're out of energy.

The drops were certainly reminiscent of Jaehoon, at least.
As in turning from terrible to half-decent?
I know what you meant, but during the game I actually thought of Jaehoon's storm drops/recalls when Hoejja attempted those drops that did absolutely nothing. The lurker drops in the mineral lines were nice though.

Nah, if an overlords picks them up they turn back into tanks bro.

Jaehoon has been consistently pretty good this PL, I'm not sure Hoejja (even though he has been playing very well lately) is exactly the same in this case.
if you're going to play a rookie, play barracks, not suny. barracks has at least SOME semblance of future skill developing. suny has no promise whatsoever and in my eyes is the worst progamer at the moment.

I didn't see if it was him
but if it is him it sorta makes sense - KT's playoff position is already fixed, might as well try to broaden the available base of players for the playoffs

Barracks is already getting playtime almost every week (~1 in 2 matches)

Well his spirits should be better now that he's actually kicking some sort of ass

suny hasn't won a game in 3 years
every time i watch him play i get a little worse at starcraft

Sure it makes sense, especially since Barracks is currently our only available terran player who has won a game this PL, but I've never seen Suny do anything good, aside from that comeback at the minor league that Artosis filmed.

That makes me happy, I have never been a fan of Jaehoon but recently he has been stepping up his game and the fact that he stayed for the team and all that makes him a very likeable guy in my book.
shitty game from sunny after doing so well at the beginning even after messing up, killing only one expo before carriers got out, he had a good shot can't get his army together and not defending his two fresh expos
Btw, does anyone want to make the LR thread for the MSL prelims? I can translate the brackets for you but I won't be around during most of the prelims so I can't make the thread.

It's funny how Jaehoon's strategy of grabbing 5-6 bases and building up a lethal carrier mass, waiting for the terran to attack, doesn't count as turtling.

i've heard so much about this kid and yet nothing impressive at all from his play. yet to get a win in PL as well.
huh? Since when did they say that? lol MBC said it was time for older players to make way for more rookies to join the team. Code for "we don't have enough money to pay the salaries of new players so we're going to sell Light".

Well in PvT it's an appropriate response due to the matchup, you can't just blindly apply the labels to both sides equally.

And for a terran to macro up before moving out is not "an appropriate response due to the matchup"? 9_9

Yes, whatever...
Zona said nothing about Suny camping you know...
I thought he was implying that, since he replied to my reply to a claim of that...
Mutalisks retreat from the main from a single turret
nice just 2 lings finish off the firebat at 10.5
Mutas hovering around Barrack's nat - still not committing? Mutas fight the mobile mnm, taking some damage but annihilating the first small mobile group

HOEJJA new ace for KT.He is playing so well i think if he keeps it up KT will win the whole thing no matter what tactics oov and SKT are planing to do.

Why? in the best case scenario he can only provide 1 victory out of 4
KT was a great team with Violet and ForGG on it with Flash in perfect health. Without Flash, Violet, and ForGG, we're probably on average worse than MBC, which puts us at Ace level. Then again, every team in the league is probably at that level when you take away their 1st, 3rd and 4th best players.
On June 28 2011 20:40 RJGooner wrote: Gosh this pisses me off. How the fuck do you lose to KT that doesn't have Flash?
KT is a really good team. 2009-2010 Shinhan Bank Proleague winners!
KT is a really good team with Flash on it. Without Flash they're pretty mediocre.
Whats MBC then losing to such "mediocre" team?
That was the point of his post, he doesn't understand how it happened.
KT is a mystery, sometimes their players show up sometimes they don't.
The 09-10 team looked a lot more solid than the current team, toss in Flash at the height of his Bonjwa run and that explains their win last year. But that's not to say that they're bad now, for the most part its the same team as last year, we know what they are capable of but the consistency of what they put out there is the problem.
On June 28 2011 20:40 RJGooner wrote: Gosh this pisses me off. How the fuck do you lose to KT that doesn't have Flash?
You'll have to ask Tyson and Sea that question.
Honestly, the only MBC player who has been reliable since round 5 is Jaehoon. Hyun was in a terrible slump, Tyson seems to be entering a slump after a good rd 5 and Sea is very inconsistent.

I have to believe the Hoejja we just saw against Sea is the Hoejja that has been named as the primary Z practice partner of Flash through all those finals against Jaedong and most recently in the MSL. How this same guy managed to not win a televised TvZ for 18 months is so weird.
Awesome. Incredible multitasking.
It's also pretty funny how Sea once claimed that its basically impossible to lose with a bio-mech techswitch in TvZ, and how zerg-dominated TL jumped on that as justification for their frequent complaints about TvZ.
On June 29 2011 09:03 EpiK wrote: wow KT can actually win without flash? either MBC is horrible or the KT team's deeper than I thought
Little column a, little column b. In winner's league people were complaining about Flash not getting enough play time and chances to win because KT's non flash line up was doing so well. But since then we've lost Violet, ForGG, and Stats has hit a sort of slump.
