(i am only a noob compared to you , so feel free to explain^^) ChowChow is imo only a sligt advantage for Z over T and P big map,many expos , many possibilites for using the fast zerg units Dahlia is only a slight advantage for Z over P and a slight advantage for T over Z vs T Z has a unlucky situation with eiter lacking gas when taking mineral only as expo or playing risky and taking the natural with gas. T has good posibilitys to use the power of sidged tanks and to be relativly save with the mineral only and the zerg is forced to make lots of lings. while Gorky is imo an advantage for P and T over Z casue sair are very effective on that map and T has turrets + upgraded goliaths but the advantages are not that big imo that a better player will loose against a worse player. I think i have to do some WCGprelim research how the MU statistics are. | ||

First- Martian ,which is the most balanced map of the 4.It requires the protoss player to play quite different from usual to have a chance, getting another main fast and running away from the terran as much as possible, till he is able to amass.At least if he gets into late game he should be able to win. ZvP and TvZ look ok.TvZ may become quite hard with some bad luck ,though.(cross positions i consider bad luck )Kohral-TvP is insanely hard, because the protoss has so much cheeze its not funny at all.Example - Fisheye-Elky last year.PvZ is completely impossible.Dont let someone convince you in the opposite.Some stupid zergs dont get their mineral only right away and lose...ZvT is very hard, prolly unwinnable at high level,because of the tight middle mostly. Gorky - ZvP and ZvT and PvT are all pretty hard,playable but pretty hard. And finally - Dahlia! At first it looks like Zerg cant take his natural expo vs t.Wrong.The distance is very longer than LT.You cant rush him.The zerg is able to power hard early and the terran has some very big problems with getting his bases running - huge base ,very easy to drop;lurkers harass mineral only;the gas expo is veeery vulnarable.Still, the terran can win, but he has to play better than the zerg. TvP - Very hard.Incredibly hard!Distance is long, the gas expo is not available till you get like 10 tanks.The main is built in a way that its very hard to protect from cheeze, especially reaver drops.You have 3 obstacles to pass to get to the enemy base- your own cliff and 2 sets of bridges.It is incredibly hard to stay in the game.Still, if the terran plays perfect, I guess its playable. PvZ - Impossible.Zerg has + 6 minerals right away.Protoss has no way of defending his gas early and even his mineral only is very hard to defend from lurks.Once the protoss player slows down his zeal production ,the zerg is free to get his gas and do whatever he wants. | ||
