If I got it straight. The use of this strategy is to catch the protoss in a weak moment, the right timing window as he is about to take he's 3rd rather quickly in the 6-7 minute mark(this is were u have to attack). Assuming the protoss playing standard (1-2 gate opening) .

So as the protoss has invested he's first minutes of the game to get the best economicly advantage of the terran as he can by going a 3rd so early it means he has a low unit count, this is were you should counter with ur 3 fac's after Fe. Before he has he's third up and running and getting alot of gates and units.
Protoss do this strategy alot since they know terran would just sit back and turtle for a while.

well i might be wrong but,when i see 2 gate goon i make my cc inside my main and bring few scvs when icome out with 2 or 3 tanks because when i try to build my cc right on the spot i just got outmicroed and lost my tanks and cc eventually or got really delayed.

if you are going for a 5 fact timing push or w/e, then your mine upgrade should finish at the exact same time as your first vulture is made. So, send down a scv, and make the CC at the natural at 31 supply. Typically you can stop 2-3 goons without the help of the vulture, and because it comes soo soon after the tank, you should technically be rather safe vs 2gate goons using 3 well positioned spidermines.

Another trick, that stylish describes is to fly your barracks over your tank at your natural expansion. Make sure the tank is on hold position, and if he pushes with 2-3 goons, they will not be able to target fire your tank. Instead they will be forced to attack the marines, which you can either use to focus fire his goons, or move back while the tank gets free shots. Scvs trap and rape goons really easily too.

Lastly, since his range wont be upgraded yet, if you want to be super safe, just make a bunker at your expo, and he wont be able to kill it until his range is upgraded. You will have mines before he has range.

Yeah I'm really liking the 5 fac push too. It's faster than the 6 fac so I can actually move out before P's been running his 3rd for a long time.

I really recommend that you somehow get hold of those commentaries. If you already did so, watch them again carefully. Most of your questions are answered in the commentaries.

The 3 Factory Timing Push is only effective if the Protoss has taken a fast third, which generally means he only has 2 Gateways and very few Dragoons. If the Protoss has not taken a fast third base, this strategy is not recommended.

this is correct. Also, incase you are wondering, you do a regular FE with this build, and thats what prompts the protoss to take a fast 3rd base. Also, he flys his barracks over top one of his tanks early on, so the protoss thinks he is doing a FD (1 tank 4-5marines and a vult with mines), because 1 of the tanks is hidden (but still shooting). These factors all help the protoss decide to take a fast 3rd, because he is now thinking you opened up with a typical 1fact expand and turtle.


Also, if you've watched the videos 10 times, then how can you miss what he says? In the Game FPVOD he clearly states as he is attacking the protosses natural that 2 gate goon standard play is a really good counter to the build. It's stated in the commentary

I forgot to mention that in all Terran matchups, scouting is absolutely vital, as you are often going to execute some sort of timing push. If your opponent does not use the strategy your push was designed for, you cannot use your initial strategy anymore.

In case of the 3 Factory push, make sure the Protoss has taken an early third base (as in from 06:00-07:30 into the game), that he hasn't got more than 3 Gateways and also make sure he's not following up his expansion with some totally wierd strategy (happens on lower levels sometimes).
