In TvT on Arcadia 2 I have an issue when other player creates a contain on my main and natural with tanks, vultures and wraiths. My main was top right in the last game so I had three mining bases.
I can defend easily but with only three bases to mine from other player will just wait until I mine out. How can I brake contain against army of that composition?
I usually play medic, marin, tank. And that is all I know at the moment as I'm a total noob (I don't count BW and SC2 singleplayers).
Never go Medic + Marine in TvT. Bust contains using SCVs, Tanks, Goliaths, and/or Dropships. Or just use Dropships to fly around the contain and drop him when he gets greedy. with SCVs? I'm sure this is a valid action but I don't understand it. When I play I tend to "forget" to macro, forget to make SCVs and assign them to work, forget to make units. If I focus on macro then my army is dead very quickly :D my APM is 70-80, and I peak at around 130. Reason I like BW so much is because it is so hard and it is challenging. It has really steep learning curve. But I never thought I would have so much problems. Everything looks easy when I watch pro players or streamers. You should improve your macro first and fix your habit of forgetting to build stuff. You will never be able to break a contain, if you have less stuff than your opponent. Arcadia is actually a good map for you to focus on that aspect, because you only need to defend one spot to get 3 bases. And if you are contained and outnumbered, build up a dropship fleet while you take the 3 bases. There are islands on the map too, making it way harder to turret up all dropship paths. Any suggestions how to improve my macro except the obvious to grind on ladder game after game? I need to learn some builds for every matchup and practice them. Not only this one medic+marine+tank. Start to scout better and read my oponent. In theory I know what I need to do, but in the game hands are not listening to me. tnx to all of you, your advices are greatly appreciated
The best way to improve your macro or opening build order in my opinion is to play vs no opponent. The fastest way to do it is to start a melee game vs a computer and then kick the computer during the countdown and just continue to play. Then you don't have any distractions while building your stuff. That way you can actually learn your build and get to know the timings of when you have to build the next building/unit.
Though it is probably best to do it using a specific build order, so you can see your improvement more clearly. Unfortunately most builds on Liquipedia don't have time stamps as to when you should have what, so I am just going to link you to a tutorial on a siege expand, I did some time ago. See http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/bw-strategy/446553-how-to-siege-expand-in-tvp There is the replay of the game, which you could compare to your own execution of the same build up to the 9min mark for example. The same works with any pro replay without much early game interaction, too.
This way to improve your macro probably doesn't sound too appealing to you, because it is basically grinding without an opponent(but you will need less games to improve your fundamentals), so you have to ask yourself the question, if you prefer this to laddering until you got the basics down.

What's the appeal of the Real-Time Lighting option? As far as I can tell, it just makes things harder to see, shiny/cartoony, and messes with the colors. Disabling it makes everything look so much better, but apparently it's a feature people want?

Quick question because I never thought about it, if I'm kiting backwards (lets say Dragoons with range vs Marines) do i want to use hold position or stop? probably hold position so my shit doesn't run in?
And secondly if that is true, are there other scenarios (other than not just wanting your defending units to run forward) where either hold position or stop is the clearly superior way to micro compared to the other?

Yes, stop is only useful to unfreeze stuck units and maybe to prevent a sieged tank from attacking the zealot during a drop so you can fire on the reaver instead.

Heyo any of you know which settings need to put to make mouse feel like on 1.16.1? Use Mouse Scaling? Hardware Cursor? Or manually scale? Also do you need to run on fullscreen or windowed fullscreen? Basically I just want my mouse to behave like 6/11 windows , 640x480 BW resolution. I experimented so many times but nothing feels really right, it's always choppy.

if choppy, you have some fps drop? disabling "mouse sensitivity" got my mouse to work like 1.16, I think (also have mouse scaling off ; hardware cursor on)

Tnx for the advices. At the moment I'm playing against computer just to get the hang of the openings against different matchups until it becomes like a muscle memory to perform these openings I noticed bio is so fragile, lose track of them out on the map for just a few seconds and they are gone.
Proper use of vultures, mines, big macro can wait. I'm taking small steps.
