- After 4 seasons you made it to the finals again I’m very happy that I can reap the fruits of my efforts. I increased my practice time and I think it paid off. I think I’ll do well in the future, too.
- The total playtime was about 25 minutes I used a 12 drone hatchery build in the first set and thought if I lose the first set I’ll win 3:1, if I win it’ll be 3:0. Except for the first set I used aggressive builds and was confident that I could finish it quickly.
- Was there a decisive point in the series? When I won the first set I had a feeling I’d win 3:0. While playing I got the feeling that I was controlling the gameflow, so from the second set on it went like the scenario I prepared. My opponent always played like I expected from the early game build on, so I never thought that I could lose and enjoyed the games.
- Your opponent for the finals is fantasy, how will you prepare? He entered the finals for two times in a row now, so he’s definitely an opponent that is not to be underestimated. But I have won in proleague against him, so I’m confident. Playing a Terran in the finals, I am hoping for good games. (Translation of that sentence is kinda off I think)
- You have to be aware of fantasy’s mechanic builds Fantasy showed mechanic builds a lot these days, but I don’t consider them particularly troublesome. Recently Terrans use mechanic builds often, so If I just prepare well there’s no need to worry a lot.
- Do you like the map order? I like it. I think my coach picked them very well for me (laughs). It’s also good that Medusa is there twice. I think the first set may be the decisive factor for this series.
- You have the chance to win your second OSL July hyung set the record for three Zerg OSL wins too early, so it’s hard to catch up. But now that I have the chance to win my second OSL I will definitely use it und will also try to set up a new record.
- Was it not difficult to practice because of the winners league finals? It was not inconvenient at all, I practiced for OSL and winners league about the same amount of time.
- Do you think today’s win will be any help for the winners league finals? Because it boosted my confidence a lot, I think it will be of big help. I don’t worry much. I worked hard for this match to show that I am unbeatable in ZvZ and want to continue to show this tomorrow.
- One word about your resolution for the finals Right now I am filled with confidence, but too much confidence can be bad for one, so I try hard to control myself. Recently I’ve won a lot so I’m happy, I will work even harder so my streak doesn’t stop here. I want to make the promise that I will win the finals for sure.
- Any final words? I did a lot of practice games and want to sincerely thank all Zergs from my team and also from Wemade that helped me practice.
Thank you snowbird, and way to go for not littering the title and content with "SPOILER SPOILER!" (come on people, you can figure out not to click on the "[Interview]" links on mornings following big matches).
As for JD...what can he say about this series? He is just so monstrous in ZvZ. Total playtime 25 minutes? LOL
And it's good to see that JD is not going to underestimate Fantasy (unlike many of TL's members...).

He's probably close to a 100% win rate during practice ZvZ.
This guy wasn't even troubled... i know i live in sweden and that's very far from jaedong but i have nightmares of him showing up on my doorstep to play zvz's...
I just noticed that Jaedong is on a 13 game win streak. If he somehow all kills CJ and dominates Fantasy 3-0, then he'd be on a 20 game win streak. Whoa...

LOL yeah, playing him zvz is a nightmare
Jaedong is godlike...I hope he beats Fantasy and all-kills CJ!!!

That boxer vs Yellow semi-finals was around 25-30 minutes too IIRC. Dont know of any that's below 25 tho.
Impossible: the timing for a bunker rush is like 3-4 minutes ito the game. Boxer performed 3 bunker rush successfully, so I don't think the serie can have been more than 15-20 minutes in total.

IIRC in most of the games, Yellow battled it out for 10-15 minutes before GG'ing.

My usual response at this time would be that JD is likely to get sniped in game 1 or 2 tommorow. But not so much after his recent performance and interview. He all kills KTF then 3-0s by.hero without even skipping a beat. He has the correct attitude with him. He does not underestimate fantasy, his confidence is really high right now but he's aware that too high a confidence will be his downfall. He's also practicing extra hard. So I'm confident JD can steal 3 games tomorrow.
This guy is on FIREEEE. Thank you for translating the interview so quickly hehe =) =) I think after reading a couple of his recent interviews, Jaedong seems just... unstoppable haha. Guess we'll find out whether that's true or not in the WL finals...

WeMade's Zergs have actually been doing pretty well in Proleague. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them made waves in an individual league soon.

Just as planned. Top progamers should've been the main characters in Deathnote..
edit: o yeah, thanks for the quick translation snowbird.

I like it too. With the map order Jaedong has a more fair chance at taking his 2nd OSL title. Jaedong is the only player to win all 3 starleague: MSL, OSL, & GOM.

First game Yellow survived the rush, but Boxer won some time later. The second and 3rd games Yellow lost straight away. So no, not impossible.. >_>
