Thank you very much. I <3 you! EDIT: Download doesn't work for Return of the King on BNet. I have Chaos with download status on and it doesn't show that at all. It's just blank. My friend has the map and it still says DL. Any fix yet?

It doesn't seem that hard to break through those eggs at least with P or T. Sure, you can't rush. But it shouldn't be that much different from a map like Monty Hall. But it won't play like a real island with air units dominating. For that, the Troy idea is better. But how do those small mineral patches relate to gameplay? Why are they there?

Return of the King: 4인용 맵 ‘왕의 귀환’은 예전 ‘남자 이야기’ 맵을 연상시키는 언덕 중심의 힘 싸움 맵으로 본진을 둘러싼 협곡과 뒷마당에 섬 멀티 활용여부가 경기를 결정짓는 주요 요인이 될 것으로 보인다. The 4-player map 'Return of the King' is an evolution of the old 'Namja Iyagi' map, where the high-terrain center is expected to be the center of action. The valleys surrounding the mains and the 'backyard' island expansion usage are expected to be the primary factors of games on this map. Plasma: ‘플라즈마’는 3인용 시간형 섬맵으로 맵 곳곳을 막고 있는 저그의 에그를 어떻게 파괴하느냐에 따라 색다른 양상의 경기가 나올 것으로 예상된다. Plasma is a 3-player island map with many zerg eggs (chrysalis?) blocking the different routes. It is theorized that the gameplay of the map will change game to game, depending on how the players destroy the eggs to open up new routes.

I suspect those mineral patches are to allow Zerg players (and others) to move drones across egg fields in the early game. You can stack two SCVs on a mineral patch, and move one through the field. It could be interesting for things like hidden expansions. Protoss and terran could use already well-known pylon or supply depot tricks, or send more than one worker, at their discretion. (I just played with Plasma as Terran and was able to use two scvs to get one across the field on my second try, so I suspect it would work for Zergs and Protoss too.)

Yeah, completely forgot about that. That means that those walls are totally permeable to workers of all types, so you can scout easily and so forth.

ROTK looks quite good as well, but that narrow path from your nat to your third gas worries me.

I don't get what you would need to stack SCVs or pylon/supply tricks for. Can't you just go through the eggs already by clicking the mineral on the other side? Did anyone find a fix for Return of the King, yet?

Yes you can move through them by just clicking on the minerals on the other side (just tested it) which could lead to some pretty stupid worker rushes.

I think I heard that each mineral patch has 32 minerals so you would have to be willing to sacrifice mining time back at the main to get rid of all those and still hope that the opposing player isn't able to scout through those areas until you were done. hmmm can zerg place an OL on each patch and prevent the opponent from right clicking on the patch? That might be ubergay~

And yeah I can't play the RotK map either.

Oh and about the scouting problem in Plasma, you just have to select the mineral patch who stands in the other side of the egg wall with you miner and he is going to cross the wall easly.

I guess it gives plenty of room and time to allow creative players to devise new kickass strats and Bos, and this is pretty neat. RotK looks cool too. I'd say mutas and carriers will be deadly there. But the many cliffs should allow T to defend fairly easily in early and midgame. But again, I am a pretty bad map analyzer, so... I hope both maps are balanced anyways.

You can wall in with one depot if you want. You can prevent scouting by sending a few scvs to get rid of the minerals, although that just seems pretty tough to do. considering you can scout normal time. i played a couple games against my brother. I was able to get two factories in his portion. i think some building placements will definitely matter to spot these proxies. The land building trick is super easy to do. And you can get a ton of dudes over the eggs. That being said, I think plasma is so awesome already, it will be a map full of awesome games, interesting tactics and creative play.
