In theory, it should also be very strong vs any kind of air unit because the sairs should all pick the same target assuming you don't manually target them or move them very close before attacking... which is usually just the case when you defend against scourges.

While the group would certainly have a lower sight radius... Not only does the stacking increase the difficultly of cloning scourge, but it also decreases the area in which hydralisks can fire at them. A group of hydralisks, while generally being able to pick at a closer corsair.. are forced to move closer to attack the cluster. Thus, corsairs are much easier to keep alive if stacked (excepting plague and devourers).

T_T" You build a pylon behind your minerals or in any other suitable location in such a way that it effectively blocks your probe from moving anywhere. You then group that probe together with your corsairs. You don't really have to do anything to get them to stick together, once you move them they will clump. But of course everyone knows this. Right? And yes, having any air units stacked in a clump makes handling them much easier and grants additional confidence in engaging the enemy.

This thread is showing how to stack corsairs, right? So he's trying to show someone how to do something, and when you do that, either give a description or photoshop some pictures that show the directions. If my request for him to give directions to do a certain strat/move in Starcraft is dumb to you, then this original thread is even more retarded for not explaining the process of it all. It'd be easier to either close the thread for lack of information, or keep your comments to yourself. And if this thread is only telling people that you can stack corsairs, then it should be an auto close anyway.

On topic, of course it can be used for any other air unit as well. I think it can be extremely useful for the 2port opening in TvZ because if you want to hit 'n' run you need to find an escape route - and an attack route - every single time which works much better with stacking. This could mean that terran might be able to use the same technique against zerg that they're using against terran right now. Of course there are already TvZ games with 1 base wraith harassment but I haven't seen them stacked that way yet, at least not by progamers. It might increase the pressure on zerg and therefore turn modern TvZ around if it is viable enough. PvZ should still look the same except for a bit better corsairs. Actually terran and protoss got a little advantage over zerg when it comes to stacking b/c they only need to sacrifice 1 worker which is ok. They don't need to select, re-select and send overlords back and forth every minute. They can also use that single worker for all groups of wraiths/corsairs.

When I explain something about sc, I give break down of things, not just show pictures, and this is what I was refering to. Obviously most people here know how to do it and understand it from the pic, but when explaining a strat in sc at this website, it's always needed to write the directions, not show 2 pictures. And if you're aware of that, then you'll understand why the original post isn't as helpful as it could be. Think outside the box for a second, before posting laughable comments to what I said.
