While I don't know how entropy works, and thus don't know if/how to get it to work with chaoslauncher, you can start SC through Entropy, and then choose "Attach" in the Chaoslauncher Tray-Menu (make sure to select the correct version of SC beforehand).
@himurakenshin I won't write it, but since it is open source somebody might port some plugins. But since SC and Chaoslauncher work in wine, I don't care much about porting it to another OS.
@Bill Murray How is that relevant to any of the recent questions?

This is the chaoslauncher log; my problem was the plugins causing sc to have invalidated version and I want to know why and how to fix it + Show Spoiler +

For me the W-Mode doesn't work. Every time I try to start it in chaoslauncher it changes my screen resolution trying to full screen it, then chaoslauncher displays a box saying "RT error", then a box saying "Error in AppyPatchedSuspended in (the file path)" followed by a box saying "SC startup timeout." it's really frustrating and I can't find any solutions online. Anyone help?
|
NVM Just got it working!! I was trying to fix the well-known hippie color bug on sc, so I checked the all the boxes in the compatibility area which caused W-MODE to fail. I unchecked them and now it works fine

I'm getting a problem. I have the iccup plugins in chaos launcher. However the ICCup thing has a red security sign next to it and says that it's forbidden. I can't check or uncheck it or anything and when I try to connect to iccup, it says the anti-hack is off. help?

Note between Start and Update Make sure you are selecting the ICCup Starcraft not the other ones.
or right click the chaos launcher and select Run Ladder. when you have the ICCup starcraft selected you will be able to mark ICCup but all the other plugins will be disabled because they are incompatible.

Is it any legal way to use the APM-alert while doing iCCup laddering? I do not want to break any rules at all.

- Snus I don't know about legality, but you cannot use APM-Alert and their Antihack at the same time.
I've updated Chaoslauncher to work better with the new ICCup streaming updates. Btw I set up a code repository for Chaoslauncher at http://code.google.com/p/chaoslauncher The licence is MPL, so it is truly open source now, not just an app with available source-code.

I guess the ladder rules admins on the iCCup site does not approve the APM tool for some reason then. To bad
But on the other side, I really like the futures the chaoslauncher has! Keep up the good work!

yeah, even though i have no idea why... usually you cant even see the APM of your opponent in-game.
I use APM-live on replays though, then i can see both players APM, so I dont know what the deal is.

I think it's mainly caused by them not spending the time to add APM-Alert to the whitelist.

We have to admit thought that apm live comes with 2 clock features, if you white list the whole plug in then there is tons of people who would abuse the clocks, probably thats why is not white-listed.

yeah, its not like you could place 100 clocks all arround your computer or even have alarms running on them, right?
|
It is true that you could count a clock as a (very small) unfair advantage, but there are two arguments against that:
1) The people who want to use a clock can easily use an external clock. A rule against using clocks is completely unenforceable
2) Everyone would have the same access to that clock.
Allowing APMAlert is in the spirit of iccup as a training place for many ambitious players.
|
dont get me wrong guys... I really want this feature on, I just stated why it might possibly not allowed there.
It is true that you can have your own clocks but I am not sure if there is ANYTHING wrong with the plug except for the clock feature.

APMAlert hasn't been allowed since before I even implemented the clock stuff. Its just a pain (and somewhat of a risk) for them to whitelist it. If they whitelist APMAlert, other plugins/hacks could develop ways to utilize the same offsets I do in order to draw things like stats hacks, which is not something ICCup would like to allow obviously. While I'd like to see APMAlert allowed on ICCup, its just not likely to happen at this point.

Where can i get a hold on the iccup AH plugin for chaoslauncher? the one on the iccup page doesnt seem to work

Using the ICCup Antihack
First make sure you are using 0.5.2.2 and no earlier versions. Then copy the iccscbn.icc from the ICCup-Launcher directory to the Chaoslauncher directory. After a restart Chaoslauncher then shows a new version called ICCup 1.16.1 in the versionlist on the bottom. If you select this version only plugins compatible with ICCup can be enabled. Warning: There is no offical permission by ICCup to use a different launcher than the offical ICCup-Launcher. from http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Chaoslauncher
Btw MasterOfChaos, LAN latency works fine for me through chaos launcher and with the SC2TV server but for some reason on iccup when I have it enabled it disconnects me at the start of the game every single time, any idea why?
|
I am experiencing something odd...
Im using Chaos Launcher 0.5.3, and I copied the Iccup file to the chaos folder. I have been updating it normally but with the last update, chaos launcher tells me that there is a new version, I say that i want to download and install it, the program does it and it restarts normally but then when I close Chaos or restart my PC it tells me that i need to update again...
Have been happening for the last week, not sure what is happening. Any info on this?

can you pleeeeassee make a mac version D: (especially seeing as starcraft is a mac + pc game) it kinda sucks for those of us out there who want it and have macs
