The map pool is made for the best players in the world, it's not made for all people. Even pro gamers don't like map pool of ASL, that's why they never play them after the league. A good map pool should be: 1 Polypoid 1 new map 1 OSL map 1 MSL map 2 ASL map 1 Proleague map | ||

But otherwise a larger map pool of the most standard maps, and like 2-3 new/weird with 4-5 vetoes and resetting those 2-3 every season is fine too. Less work on blizzard s side | ||

As for maps, anything is fine at this point as long as we get some fresh ones in. Two seasons per year would be ideal. As most ASL maps are fresh and get updated frequently, maybe it should be offset by one season to have the final versions. So Ladder Season 1 of a year would get the maps of the second season of last years ASL, Season 2 the maps from the first ASL of that year etc. Even one season per year would be fine at this point, maybe combining maps from the last two ASLs. Its truly baffling how any kind of regular map pool update seems to be too much to ask for, even a yearly one. | ||

The way to keep the game fresh is by updating the maps. Specially when the maps are not that great. Imo this ASL map pool looks very classic and can last longer than 6 months compared to the one of optimizer, ringing bloom , shakuras temple , etc.. Thanks to everyone that posted on the blizzard forum. And i totally understand the ones that are tired from Blizzard too and dont want to collaborate. Sadly i just dont see other way to get something done :/ | ||

But you can add that the foreign tournament admins support your efforts and a new map pool, in particular BWCL. | ||

The map pool is not really terrible but hardly the best ever. I personally dislike Tempest, Retro and Polypoid but some people seem to like those. | ||
