What about Scan and Beast? They are not banned? I believe it's more complicated and nuanced than just he attended the tournament. I remember being told a bunch about letting Shinee into my tournaments. I ultimately decided to let him in(?) and was called a Savior apologist. I think it's well within ASL's rights to deny him. IIRC he was pretty bad mannered in my tours until i told him i'd ban him. Might be why ASL doesn't want him, might be a lot more.

He's banned because he qualified for one of the ASL's but quit last minute because he didn't want to travel to Seoul. And no, he's not hated by pros I mean ffs Light is his teacher. Every pro would play him if he brings a spon but pros dont bring spons to amateurs because it's seen as noob bashing. And he mentions all the time there is a gap between top amateurs and pros. He always mentions he's super scared to play Best. He would never say he's better than Flash LOL Thanks for the explanation. Can this be edited into OP so that pointless guessing stops?

He also did some controversial stuff like quitting tournaments midway due to other tournaments offering more prize pool so that may have contributed to whole savior ban, but he was banned because of quitting despite winning on ASL He gets plenty of spons vs other pros including FlaSh.

I wonder if he's looking at this from afar and wondering what the hell are these foreigners talking about while at the same time finding it comical that people are just making up all sorts of assumptions. One dude says cause he cut off the arm of al pacino, another saying cause he kidnapped pablo escobars wife, another fella says its cause he moves drugs for the north korean mafia. Imagination and stories are running wild in this thread bahahahaha! Couldn't help but to laugh my ass off at all the gossip and mislead hoomains.

I don't know how long it last(ed?) for, or if anyone ever apologized or were allowed back in though, so if anyone can shed some light on that it would be fantastic. But it does go to show that it was a big deal in the Korean scene, KCM is a prominent tournament organizer / personality and his stance was in no way uncertain.

Can't find his post I think he deleted it. But he removed the ban saying it wasn't fair to punish players that didn't do anything wrong. His initial decision was running off hot emotions. Everyone that was initially banned went to go on to play in his league and coach as well.

Aside, to answer this, I'm gonna quote Pusan[S.G], who used to be one of very good Protoss players. When Larva was doing good and 'only' good on online matches, some viewers asked if Larva is a great player. Pusan answered that, in short, online and offline matches are quite different. Pusan could never get rid of the tension and weight of the offline ones until he got retired, and emphasized that it is a reason for FlaSh being great; FlaSh is perfect on online matches, and he is capable of fully showing them and staying calm during the offline matches. So, I think Shinee is a good player. But another thing is that the ex-pros these days don't really focus much on ladder games. I mean they still get high rank, but it's really a piece of cake for them to do so, and they generally practice with each other, within pros. Also, Shinee doesn't really spend much energy on ASL, since he has his own job going on. He once won sSak and was able to advance to Ro. 24, but he gave up bc of his job.

How many are actually "real professionals" not doing other stuff than playing BW?

Don't know about his job, tbh I don't really watch much of Shinee... Most ex gamers are focusing on playing games tho. FlaSh said he tried to do some business, and Larva opened up a restaurant for a side job, but that'd be pretty much it. And even for them, SC would be their main jobs.
