for starters, this is just a mindstorm topic, a forum user ideeas that can enhance the game further
they may never patch bw, and that is just fine
but if they would patch the game with stuff to further improve the quality of the game, let's find some smart ideeas
this is a fun topic for smart players to brainstorm ideeas, trolls not welcomed, fights over possible imaginary ballance not welcomed
i think the focus should be over abilities to add practical or utility to the game, rather then buffing of nerfing, but out-of-the-box ideeas are also welcomed
like starports can make wraiths while flying :D
i think there are some really great ideeas out there, so let's stack some interesting ones
maybe port some sc2 utility, like spines/spores can reposibion, depos can burrow, reposition photons (like in sc2 alpha?)

I've always loved this take from Destiny in the SC2 days. Marines have to go back to supply depots to recharge their ammo.
I think dragoons should have a 1/256 chance of randomly walking up a cliff if you move command them up.

I think at any time, if you return the zerg unit to the hatchery you got it from, you can transfer it back into an additional larva that will be added to the hatch. Food supply will be refunded upon conversion. Larva cap would still apply.

Terran should start with 5 SCV's, 1 Ghost and 1 Nuke, 2 Nukes in TvP.

I think getting rid of unborrow lag could lead to some interesting new tactics, but it would have to be balanced.

i just wish i can burrow lurkers when grouped with units that have not learned burrow i missed so many burrows because of this lol

-Clan support (like in SC2) -Automated tournaments ( like in SC2)

- When they spawn, have both Zerglings on your hotkeys (instead of just 1 right now) after you added the egg in your control groups.
- Add an option to ask your ladder opponent for a rematch when the game is over.
- Fix SD graphics so they look like they used to.
- Suggestion: A small feature that would be great for team play is the option to randomize the team’s players in the lobby.

I think making a new expansion would be exciting, adding new tile sets and a few more units/abilities. Same engine.

Make Depots function like SC2 Depots but on top of that make them work like elevators so you can lift Vultures into enemy bases if you bring an SCV along and build a depot under their cliff.

I like SC2's way of grouping by using the Tab system. It would be nice to just be able to group different units together and just hit tab to use a units specific abilities.
