Hi guys,
I made a similar post in the past that work with userstyles.org but now i just upload my first Firefox extension for Youtube, Afreecatv.com & Twitch.tv
DOWNLOAD LINK:
addons.mozilla.org
The addon will hide the video lengths, progress bar and times.
Are you Tired watching e-Sport videos and already know the result of the match? Hide the video lengths, progress bar and times with this extension and enjoy your videos of online games or movies.
Works for: Youtube, AfreecaTV & Twitch.
I hope you enjoy it

thanks, this is great! Is there an icon to toggle it on and off or do you just do that from the add-ons menu?
|
Thank you for making this for Firefox, the best browser. Great idea.

Thanks. Great idea! I will add this maybe this weekend or next week.

It would be cool if you could remove the thumbnail/preview as well, for example ASL (or was it KSL?) sometimes spoils the results there

Sure, I can make a settings page with that option next week.
I remember years ago a Flash vs Bisu match in where the Thumbail shows the winner and that was a FINAL and an ace match lol

Somehow it doesn't work for me on FF - though I have your older version for Afreeca and Youtube as a stylish style which still works fine.

The plugin work only for tabs and if you refresh the tab you have to activate it again. Try it again and if does not work tell me what version of Firefox are you using.

Ok it works, I was just to dumb - thank you!
Only small problems I've seen:
1) The little hourglass on the top is black when its active but if I activate it on lets say YT and click to a video/page on YT, the hourglass becomes white (like its deactiveted), but it still hides everything (so is still active)
2) I see the red progress bar in videotumbnails - usually thats not a problem since I would watch matches in one go, but assuming I would not do that that might spoil me if I take a break and can see that the video is already 3/4 done (even if I don't know the duration of the video).
3) Bit of a same issue for twitch, if I hover over the progress bar in the VOD I see the small circle showing me where the video currently is (progression wise).
All in all small problems of course, again thank you for your work and for giving me the joy to watch BW stuff without the fear of getting spoiled!

Hi,
Nice feedback.
1)working on it
2)can you send me a screenshot of the red progress bar in videotumbnails? I dont see them. 3)The small circle i think is good to to move foward sometimes? specialy for videos of 2 hours or more, do you think it should be removed? Regards

This is amazing!! I love this "if it doesn't exist, build it and use it" mentality, great idea!

This may be nice, but I wish more support would go towards http://sc2links.com/ which has been supporting SC1 and SC2 with spoiler free options for a while now.
edit: Maybe think about reaching out to them if you want to help improve what they have.

2) Looks like this for me.
3) Yeah, I'm not sure myself; it might spoil the progress so I would avoid it while watching a final for example but I can also see it being useful for skipping in bigger VODs - especially since it only shows if you mouse of the specific section of the video bar its easy to avoid.

Hi, thanks for let me know about them. I had no idea that sc2link.com existed, but this extension, go beyond starcraft and allow people to watch any match from any game out there

It doesn't seem to work for me and I'm not sure why... I'm on firefox 60.2.1 esr. I can't find an option menu for the add-on either, is there one ?
Tried deactivating noscript and ublock but it didn't change anything. Reloaded youtube and twitch videos several time with no luck.

2) Fixed in new version (4.0) 3) I think that point is usefull for now.

thats weird, can you post a Screen-shot of your browser? Thats what i see:
![[image loading]](https://i.imgur.com/cSqzOiV.png)
and the clock (After the 3 points ) is the button to enable/disable the addon.
|
Oh lol. I was looking at the right of the quicksearch bar where noscript, ublock etc are. Didn't even realize the clock was new. Sorry !
![[image loading]](https://i.imgur.com/IeFTp39.png)
Now I see it and it works ! Even though I find weird that you have to turn it "off" to hide the bar (at least for me the bar is hidden when the icon is black and mouse-over says "Anti spoiler video OFF".)
Isn't there a way to have it hide the bar all the time and to be able to show it on demand ?
Great work anyway, thanks for this.

This is great, could you please make a version for Safari, or just a general script that could be used with Tapermonkey? Thanks!

Well, at first the effect of the extension, was permanent, but some users made the suggestion to Enable and disable the extension.
There are "bugs/ know issues" with firefox extensions and tab activation, i will fix this soon with and "Settings section"

The problem the tool atm has (not really problem, rather just the design) is that once you click the little clock it works for this tab until you reload the tab/get linked to a new tab etc. That means you have to open YT, then enable the tool and then navigate to the video or you have to click the link and then quickly click the little clock before the video loads/you see the progress bar.
Not sure why it was changed, I liked the former version much more (the one you once enabled and then it worked until you disabled it over all tabs). Since I rather take the 'effort' to disable it again or have the inconvenience of it disabling other tabs as well over the big risk that I'm being spoiled. Its not too bad once you know how the tool works but still, the old way seems superior to me.

Yes i agree with you and in the next hour i will upload the new version. For me personally i also like the old way, is better to avoid any spoiler.
The "effort" now is for the users to deactivate the extension on the settings page of firefox.
I hope this is good for the majority of the users.

Its done. Extension updated!
::HOW IT WORKS::
1) The extension will work for ALL THE TABS on Firefox now 2) To temporarily disable the extension, is very easy, jusy type:
about:addons
on the adress bar and disable the extention there.
NOTE: If you use Chrome you can see the most popular anti spoiler tool on the Chrome store called
"Anticipation for YouTube and Twitch"
Extension wich also work with the "per tab" system, and they face the same problem. When you activate the extension you will see a mini popup with the information:
"Anticipation is enabled, YouTube and Twitch time will be hidden on the next video you click on or after refreshing your tab. You can use your keyboard arrow keys to rewind and fast forward if needed."
So the question is what the people like? For me i prefer the extension to work for all the tab.
Also, when you have the extension working per tab not always it gets activated this happen in Chrome or Firfox, so this is the best way so far.

Great QoL thingy, thank you!
On/off button (icon) which I can put next to adblock and such, that would be great addition. One or two clicks to switch it on and off.

As you can see in the previos post, this is the best method so far, the activation option is buggy at the time, i hope it will be a solution soon.

Thank you very much for your work. As mentioned earlier - do you still plan on making one for Safari?

Is it not possible to enable/disable the spoilers with a click and still have it affect all the tabs?
I'm using Anticipation and I like that you can disable it at anytime, going to about:addons to disable it is too much of a hassle if you enable/disable it a lot.
