on the flip side, the game runs VERY well... like, it feels even smoother than 1.16.1! it feels notably better, and i don't say that lightly because i think blizz is a garbage dev and i don't trust them to not mess up. but for real, it runs really well!
the boxes around text in game is kinda annoying.. also, the fact that i can't block spectator chat while playing is annoying. also, why did they change the create game hotkey on battlenet??? seems like a random dumb change for no reason...
also, while i disagree with hotkeys being included, they need to update the list to something more like sc2 has so that it is way easier to navigate..
finally, aren't they making the game run at 1920x1080? i thought that they were expanding the field of view? or is that only in the HD version?
oh 1 more thing, they need to make the custom games list filterable by melee/1x1/top vs bottom/ums like it was in broodwar. also, option to not have spectator slots
that's my 2cents. overall, very positive though with regard to the game itself.
~edit ohhhhh both FULL CAMPAIGNS are in the download btw, so if you haven't played sc or bw's campaign recently and it's lagging you can go play those! not sure why they're included in the ptr download but okay lol In windowed-fullscreen the units in the campaign were far more unresponsive from my play through. I did BW mission 1 in both the PTR and BW. The difference was night and day to me.
Really? I'm playing fullscreen with both MCA64 and Wlauncher running and i'm getting perfect responsiveness in both battlenet play (ignoring latency issues) and single player play.. not sure what the problem is

Anybody tried it on Win10 virtual machine in OS X system? Mine gives me crashes when I try to start the game, and the launcher won't update either.

Valkyre sprite limit still in effect. Firebathero just confirmed on his stream

with how much problems and bugs there are i doubt they are going to release it today

Yeah, would be real surprised if they released this in its current state. They should have done PTR much earlier if they wanted to get it out today. Too many issues.

Yeah, i mean i'm running the PTR version solo, with mca and wlauncher/detector running in the background. i had heard that they caused issues if they were run at the same time but i haven't run into any

I just grabbed the PTR version (I have Anthology installed on another drive) and I'll likely do some actual online play later today (something I have not done for several versions of Windows). I only really have two questions concerning the PTR version.
1. Does it support the campaign? (If not, that's fine - as I mentioned before, I have Anthology installed on another drive.) 2. Does it support newer features in B.net (such as streaming to Facebook, etc.)?

1. yes, the full campaign is in the PTR executable (for some reason... no idea why it's there looool) 2. no idea

Does it mean we can't do the old :
"/f m Hey what's up ?" and after a few answer " /f m I'm not talking to you"
Awwww....

1. Creating or Joining a game wipes your channel chat window and prevents whispers from being sent to you. 2. There is no way to see who in the lobby already has the map. It is impossible to tell who has not started to dl vs who already has the map. I believe native bnet didn't have this function, but the launchers made this possible by putting a 100 next to players with completed downloads. 3. You cannot change position within a team in a game lobby. For UMS games where each slot is a different role, you have to play some retarded hopscotch with each other if you want to swap slots. Previously you could click on the team header and move through each slot. 4. There is no way to enter a game name and password immediately. You have to find it in the game list no matter what. There is a search, but being able to enter the game name [tab] enter password was very convenient. 5. No way to filter the game list for UMS, melee, 1v1, etc.
I don't understand why almost every single one of these features has gone backwards on the PTR. If there were technical limitations preventing Blizzard from keeping the old b.net I understand moving away from it, but why couldn't they preserve these basic common sense functions. I was very excited for the 1.18 patch, but my first taste is not a good one. I think most of these are oversights, if you consider their primary feedback came from a 1v1 perspective many of these things are easy to miss.
I think they are thankfully simple things to fix.

So it's unlikely that the patch will hit today because there are so many issues?
