Hello TL!
I haven't posted here in many years. I recently found myself with a ton of freetime so I decided to get back into BW after 6 years or so. I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone can clear up for me.
Where does everyone play now? Is ICCUP still a thing? I keep reading about Fish? Should I even mess with b.net?
What utilities are available for BW that can detect hacks, enable obs mode, show APMs, etc? Is ChaosLauncher still a thing?
I saw this thread : http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/brood-war/465487-mca64launcher-20 regarding a tool called MCA Launcher but I'm not sure if the things I mentioned above (mainly an anti-hack) are covered by it or if it is primarily a launcher/streamer.
I used to be one of the guys that stayed up until 4am to watch progaming live. Since I started playing again I can't stop thinking about what happened to people like Reach, nal_ra, savior, Boxer, Bisu, Stork, Flash, July, etc. Anyone know what ever happened to those guys?
Is anyone in the current sc2 top ten a former BW progamer or is it all new guys?

People still play at iccup, but also on Fish for those who are better. But people right now are all hyped about the new coming server shieldbattery which fixes all the problems of the old servers.
Top 10 is basically some b-class/c-class BW pro gamers, rarely some new guys as expected. But it seems that most pros switch back to BW and stream regularly (see sidebar) (Flash, Bisu, Effort, etc, JaeDong rumored to be back as well). Nal_ra streams regularly on twitch (twitch.tv/nal_ra0315), Reach is now a LOL coach, Boxer plays Poker and has a family with a son, Yellow become famous as a variety tv show guy, Stork still plays SC2, July I dont know, Savior streams BW I think too

Jaedong seems to be considering streaming quite seriously. The other 3 are streaming almost everyday.

go play on iccup, it's the best start until SB isn't up yet. Forward your ports, get the MCA Launcher ( it is a standard Launcher with Antihack, but some cool features on top of it). Gl&HF

I too just recently went back to BW after 6 years, 2 or 3 months ago. First few games felt like discovering the game for the first time, a weird feeling after playing this game so much in the past. The basics came back quicker than I expected (currently B 2v2 on iccup) but my bos/timing knowledge and my muta micro are pretty much inexistent now ;;
It feels great playing BW again and with ShieldBattery coming soon my passion is as strong as ever.

Even thought I never ever played this game when it was big (As I was < 10 years old) It's so nice seeing the photos of the pro gamers from the past, and its nice seeing that some of the pro gamers are still playing this.
