Nice write-up! It's clear that a lot of effort went into this.
Having said that, what's up with Hero's grade? B+, the same as Ssak, who completely destroyed him? And higher than Sea.KH, who beat Hero in his best match-up?! Talk about grade inflation... Hero exited his group last (by score he was tied with Sea.KH, whom he lost to), but it looks like he's getting a high grade for being last season's runner-up, despite an abysmal performance this season.
Also Mind getting an A+ after going 0-4 against free in one day, while free gets an A... -_-
I get that it's not just about the final score, but I disagree that these grades represent the players' actual performance.

The Brood War writeups just continue to be incredible, great job everyone! :D

Sonic never cease to amaze me. Such a dedicated man, truly a hero. Hell, calling him a hero would be understatement. A god among man.

Woah Amazing write up ! This was great, I really am confused why it is called Exctinction though...Is this the last event?
Also TheBOy working at Blizzard Korea is awesome! I'd like to see what indie games Aozora has developed as well.

My intention when I suggested the title was to convey up front that this was the first time in history Zerg (a race that lore-wise consists of hundreds of assimilated species) has been annihilated so early. Hence mass extinction, hence Extinction Event. And no, this is certainly not the last event!
Fun fact: with SSL10, Z is the third and last race to actually face extinction so early in a Starleague, if I recall correctly, it's happened only once to T and like three times to P.

Amazing, and yes I agree this is one of the best articles I have read as well.

Amazing article. Thanks to all the article authors, you deserve props for producing such quality content!
Lemmata, that piece was great. The type of insight you provide into the korean scene, all those anecdotes, the language quirks/idioms; they're all super interesting to read because that's a world we foreigners normally don't have access to.
I loved the phrase "human hard counter".
Q for Lemmata: How long have you known about teamliquid and how'd you find your way to post here? I was surprised by the fact that your account is fairly new.

I discovered TL maybe a year before I registered. At some point, I started wondering about the identity of the mysterious "nevake" who had uploaded these great VODs. More poking around led me here.
I got into BW in the summer of 2001, which I spent doing various strange and unrelated part-time jobs in Korea. I was totally unaware that an active non-Korean community existed until more than a decade later. Given that I live in North America, it's nice to know where to go for all my BW needs.
