I am still not ale to understand why it's radius is so big thou, especially compared to the size of my tank for instance. Mines do less damage to units further away (something like 100%, 50%, 25%) so it seems bigger because probes have less hp and will actually die to the outer radius of damage. So if a probe was shot once by the tank and then got caught on the outer radius of damage it would die.

So if a probe was shot once by the tank and then got caught on the outer radius of damage it would die. If you watch the bottom portion of the screen (in freeze frame sequence), 1)the siege tank cannon animation occurs just before the mine explosion occurs, with the damage being dealt presumably to the closest outermost probe. 2) Two vulture grenade shots are fired(and are visibly flying through the air), and explode at essentially the same time as the mine explosion - one vulture grenade explosion animation occurs on the second outermost probe before the mine explosion(and after the siege tank shot hits the outermost probe), the 2nd vulture shot hits outermost probe just as the mine explosion occurs. Conclusion: if indeed there is a damage gradient, the second probe being- closer than the outermost probe, and also being hit by a vulture grenade at the same time as the explosion, would have died(even at 25% lowest damage gradient). -So the second outermost probe, was not in range of the mine explosion(at any damage gradient 25%<) -The outermost probe was out of range of mine explosion, and died due to 1) a tank shot (reducing shields) 2) subsequent vulture grenade, that incidentally landed on the outermost probe at the same time the mine explosion killed the other probes. Is there a source for the spidermine damage gradient? Even though it may not apply in this situation, it would be interesting to verify the facts.
