it's just that, in W3 (and I think sc2?), there is a separation between arranged team and random team for ladder. Personally I think its better not to split these two ways of forming teams though it's possibly good to account for it in some way in the rating we discussed this before quite a bit in a topic. (there can be a big drawback of AT where you have little incentive to play with other than your usual teammate(s) because then the rating for that new team would be reset [if using whole team rating for AT instead of individual], if you just mix AT and RT together its more seemless and practical for matching but ofc AT has a significant inherent advantage which you could account for (some malus if playing vs RT for example or bonus to RT) or just let it get better ratings naturally) | ||
