I want to make an UMS in which the player, terran, will battle lurkers with marines. The player will start in the middle of a small map, with a command centre and free scan. He or she will then select the number of lurkers to fight against and the marine and medic (and maybe firebat) force to fight with.
The lurkers will spawn, burrowed rather close together, in the top or the bottom of the map, depending on how the player wants to approach them. When all of the units on either side die, the other party will disappear and the player can redo it in any configuration again. and again
until it gets very easy or very boring.
The problem is that AI lurkers tend to unburrow when they see hostile forces from afar. So I'm asking anyone with UMS knowledge here whether it is possible, and if yes, then how, to restrict the lurkers from unburrowing. And then, make the map if you're interested . This particular UMS doesn't have much going on, but I have zero experience in these things. I'll figure it out in time if laziness does not prevail, but, hell, if you're good at these things, and are interested - make it, and publicize it!
