Hello guys 
As some of you may have previously noted, we've been busy with ReXplorer 2.0 lately. And today ReXplorer 2.0 is released with tons of great new features ! So what's new :
* Minimap generation from replays AND maps (SCM/SCX files). Faster and much more configurable than SCM2JPG, you can choose what to display (units, resources, doodads...), in what resolution (from 16x16 to 4096x4096 for a map like LT or Luna) and with which quality (high-quality rendering with unit/building shadows or low-quality where resources and starting locations are big colored squares). Of course, the JPEG compression is configurable.
* Map extraction from replays ; you can now save the map used in a replay in two mouse clicks.
* New Properties window, which includes a minimap with each player's starting location (click to enlarge) : ;
* Display of conversations logged in RWT (Replays With Text, feature of PenguinPlug) in the Properties window ;
* Loading replays in StarCraft directly from your explorer now supports French, German and Spanish StarCrafts ;
* See a minimap in Windows' Thumbnails view instead of StarEdit's icon for maps and replays.

I request help!
Everything works except the most important feature for me, Extract minimap it says there was an error and was unable to process the minimap.  quite sad. Help would be very much welcomed.
I use Windows XP SP3, I had the 2005 c++ runtime already installed before i installed ReXplorer only feature i noticed that did not work was extract minimap.

Yes i tried scm scx files the default install (This is a clean install of XP). I also downloaded Longinus 2, Into The Darkness, Along with Python none of them work

@MoC: It should be installed correctly, although I did download and installed it via battle.net account instead of my cd, so I don't know if that would change anything.

Sorry for the bump, but I felt this might be the most appropriate place!
I remembered this tool and how useful it was and tried installing it again on windows7... to no avail. I can't get any functionality out of it even with running in compatibility mode for xp sp2 and with admin priviledges. The program will loadup, I can select options and press apply or whatever, but nothing will actually happen in the context menus etc. I wondered if anyone else has gotten this to work on win7 and if so what method they used.
For any newcomers, this program is amazing for organizing and finding replays!

Yea I back the bump I'd like this for Win7 as well, I don't get why new OS's don't have all the old stuff build in to make everything from the old compatible with the new but I guess that would make computers need more ram/cpu power or something.

The "Everything old should continue to work"-mentality was the reason why windows was so bad for a long time. It had layers upon layers upon more layers of backward compatibility hacks because everyone was scared of breaking other programs.
Windows 7 scrapped a lot of it (and imho rightfully so), so many old programs that are not following the coding guidelines to the letter stopped working.
Solution: Bug the developers of this tool until they fix it :p
