Yes it will only work if your group of selected peons either all carry a mineral patch, or a mix of peons with or without one. The ones carrying mineral patch will automatically go to the nearest hatch/cc/nexus before going back to mine, and the ones without one will automatically go mining. What the command "C" won't work on are if your selected peon(s) isn't carrying a mineral patch on hand. This command works for gas as well. Try it out yourself, it's much simpler than explaining. | ||

When you select some marines with SCV, you can use hold position command so the SCV hold position too. They don't normally have the hold position command though. So if you have a few peon with and without mineral, it will work for all. | ||
