Iccup sure made a weird ranking system, putting copper over diamond. But since diamonds are mined in Russia, maybe they're really really cheap there?

5 Scout -> Army 6 Scout (ovie) -> Nydus worm 7 Main Hatch 8-9 Other Hatches 0 All Hatches EDIT: 7 Main Hatch is an old habit that I never got rid of... I used to use 7 as my main CC in BW, then kept that when I switched to Zerg (in BW).

seriously guys .. @op your asking here means you're not really that good .. maybe you are just starting to play the game after you've read tons of guides and watched tons of replays. and you're fairly decent with BOs now, my guess. so just spam games on iccup .. and watch your loses rise

General consensus seems to be: 1-2 scouting units / army -> 1-5 with more army 3-5 hatch, shift to 5-0 with bigger army save camera keys to expansions I was 1400 D at one point on iccup >< guess I should play some sc2 1v1 On November 29 2010 14:59 aimaimaim wrote: sooooooooooo .. was the OP's question answered? seriously guys .. @op your asking here means you're not really that good .. maybe you are just starting to play the game after you've read tons of guides and watched tons of replays. and you're fairly decent with BOs now, my guess. so just spam games on iccup .. and watch your loses rise You didn't really tell him much either~ But if he does take the advice from this thread, I guess he does need to spam games to get practice reassigning his hotkeys at critical points of the game.

You'll notice I don't have a hotkey for queens. I realize this is bad, but since I check my base every 1 or 2 seconds, I can inject anytime I don't see green bubbles on my hatcheries. Hope this helps. Why do you want to slow the speed of your larva? Also i use 1-4 units, 5-0 hatch but i'm a noob.

So much epicness can only be found here :D Topic: I also use 1-4 units (Mutas, Defiler, Lurker, Ultras) and 5-0 hatches. Rally Points on F2-F4 (or sth else what is important)

1=Hatchery 3=Scouting Drone 4=Overlord 2=Drone (for 12hatch) Mid game: 1-4=Lurkers/Mutalisk (don't bother hotkeying lings unless it's super early), 5-X (hatcheries) Late game: 1-7/8 Hatcheries, 9-0 Ultralisk/Defilers I average 200APM, which is by no means high. However, I feel that my setup is correct for me personally. Make very high use of the Shift+F2/F3/F4 keys; they typically lead to your macro zerg harass being IMBA. I use F2 in the middle of the map where I gather all my units, F3 and the enemy's choke, and F4 at my tech items (main base / evolution chambers). By the way, I just turned 21 and I am hammered while writing this... so... Happy birthday to me! :-D

I'll start now to play more ICCup, in general B.net Europe my stats are like 200-60 My APM is at the Moment about 150-190 depends on the lenght of game. I do know many Tactics also watched tonns of Progame Videos. Also I'll now try to use F2 F3 F4 too, cause never did that : O

When I start the game I use 4 for the first hatchery 2 for the first ovie 3 for the 2nd one as soon as i have vision (whether i have it with the 1st ovie or later) on my natural expo i mark it as F3 5 for 2nd hatch 6 for 3rd hatch (if ZvP i immediately mark my 3rd expo with F2) Early in the game I use 4,5,6 to produce faster drones/army. The army i have is usually groupped in 1,2,3 (when having mutas they are on hotkey 1, when having lurkers they are on hotkey 2) Mid to late game i start using F4,F3,F2 more because: in zvz i tend to hotkey 12 scourges at say 3, 10 at 4, 8 at 5 and so on in zvp i have shitloads of army so i cant really afford not using 4,5,6 when doing surrounding attacks in zvt at some point i start using hotkey 4,5 for various units (lings, defilers, scourges) all the time and then get lazy to rehotkey my hatcheries. Generally i dont use 7-0 for else than army. I dont think i can stretch my fingers of the left hand fast and precise enough to pump army that way. And I also feel my army and game insecure when raising my right hand from the mouse to reach the keyboard for 7-0 :D So i just stay with the F usage :D edit: sometimes i use hotkey 1 for one larva or drone at a time to optimise mineral mining efficiency ;D

+ Show Spoiler + Ahh i felt like i have to write something in this thread eventhough i almost don't play zerg. I can only recommend when massing units from more hatcheries at one place, ctrl select all larvae and click letter of the unit = 2 clicks. 4 sh 5 sh 6sh = 9 clicks

but is this weird? I find it comfortable anyways early game: 1 - hatchery 5 and 0 - scout overlord ==> (for big maps - I change 5 to scouting drone) 5 again for first set of lings mid-late game: MACRO: 1234 - main hatcheries for each expansion ( hatcheries built close to each other does not count since I can use my mouse to macro ) screensave F2-F3-F4 for other expos MICRO: 5-0 units ==> 5-6-7-8 - for Frontline units eg. lings/ultras/hydras/(when muta harrassing I do 7) sometimes changes 8 - 9 for lurkers 9/0 - Defilers/Drop Ovies 5a6a7a8a9a0a or such 8u9w9g9c0u is ok to me now, got used to it anyway EDIT: I learned how to use my thumb ![]()

5-9, F2/F3/F4 Hatcheries. 0 I use for stuff like scourge or maybe defilers. Often swap hatcheries for units in lategame, but not sure how good it is.

At that point any self-respecting player realizes that shit just got real! I can only imagine the look on my opponents face when they have to guard their ramp from a swarm of Broodlings... 1). First Overlord/Scouting Drone/Mutalisk/Lurkers/Army 2). First Overlord after scouting drone takes over (1)/army 3). Army 4). Defilers/army 5).->0). Hatcheries F2). Main Base F3). Natural/Fourth Base/All even bases thereafter F4). Third Base/Fifth Base/All odd bases thereafter
