THIS IS WHY HE CALLS HIMSELF LIM:
Actually, this is why many Koreans call them selves, Park, Choi, Kim, Kang [ Me and Nal_Ra ^^ ] even though they don't sound like it should in Korean:
When Koreans first built their last names, alot of them were given out by Americans and americans couldn't pronounce the names as we can. Even today if I teach someone to say a Korean word they will say it incorrectly to my ears but they themselves won't hear the incorrect pronunciation.
The names are pronounced thus in Korean [ These pronunciations are by me and I see them as most correct as I'm fluent in both ] : Park = Bahk, Choi = Chweh, Kim = Gihm, Kang = Ghang; already see the difference?
I [think] the reason he uses Lim instead of ' Eem ' is because he is accomodating for English speakers. Think about it, he might as well make it easy to pronounce if he's going to write his name with English letters.
That's the most likely reason as to why he writes his own name wrong ^^

ugh, my bnet ID is nimbuS. I hate it so much cause I made it with the intention of it meaning "A thunder bearing cloud" or something related to a storm cloud.
Then the Dragonball Z and Harry Potter jokes started.....Im too well known to change it now.......
The only one i know.
SlayerS_`BoxeR`
SlayerS_ is a clan, and a boxer is someone who boxes, as in the boxing, I guess he was trying to to compensate for being a un-athletic starcraft player.

As already said, Elky original nick was Elkantar. People found it too long so they called him Elky (or Elk), so he took Elky. Elkantar is a character in a dungeons and dragons like game.

Hmmm.
I know the name written in the English alphabet as Lee is actually pronounced Ee (like 'tree' without the 'tr'). The discrepancy comes from the change in Korean spelling rules during the 20th century which deemed it unacceptable for Korean words to start with an l/r symbol '('riul' for those who know the Korean alphabet). So the name changed in Korean but the English spelling was retained.
I had assumed that the Lim/Im discrepancy was for similar reasons.
