This happened to me in a similar game where I had about 120-130 Supply in probes 8 Bases (5-6k Ore/Gas) and about 25 gates, Yeah it was my mistake but I think many Protoss users switch to carriers way too late(when they feel they are losing) I think they should switch whenever they feel they have a slight or clear advantage over the terran, solid ecnonomy and enough force to hold off while the terran tries to counter on the ground.

In situations like that its hard to make the right decisions, and I dont think he knew the other ground bases were mined out ><

a very playerful game. pj tried to win by ground troops and abiter only but terran macro and held on too well. population cap is really anti-protoss. the only way for pj to spend his excessive money was too mass stargate but he didnt do it when he could afford to.

Thats what I was saying to my friend when we where watching the replay just then, if the supply cap was rasied to about 250 it would balance the M/U more by making turtling terrans have something to move out of thier base for, it would force them to fight because the Protoss could possibly out-mass them, but that will never happen ><

Nice idea but it wouldent go mainstream, and you would have to regroup/hotkey the hero units
