If this doesn't do anything, try a different video card if you can, otherwise, take it to a computer shop and have them test the monitor for you or just bring it to a friends house and hook it up to his/her computer to test it. Yea, I'm prob gonna take it back to Best Buy and have them look at it again.... it's just such a hassle is all and I'm wondering if anybody has any answers; which is why I posted.

Esp one made by a manufacture although ionno about Sony's practices but dell has a horrible habit of making everything super efficient nothing extra in memory bandwidth 1:1 with fsb and no headway in their psu's for much of an upgrade. Some builds adding an extra HDD can bring their psu's to it's knees. Can you PSU handle it? and Did you plug in everything as most high end cards require 4 pin molex (if agp usually) or pci6(+2) when necessary.

It could be the other way around if your AGP card isn't set as the default adapter in BIOS. Yes it was previously integrated. Everything is in it's correct place. Could the power supply have anything to do with it? The card recommends 300 and up output but My computer gives out about 289 or somewhere around that. Is that ok? The Geek Squad dude says it will most likwely work but chance it won't...

Hardware : Best Buy messed up your cables. PSU might be overworked. Graphics card / Motherboard / Monitor not being compatible My bet is that they either forgot the drivers or that something inbetween your new graphics card + motherboard + monitor is screwed up. Most likely something with the drivers. BTW, what kind of monitor are you using? If your using an LCD, it might be incompatible with your computer in general, considering it's age and stuff. Try using an old CRT maybe?

Try using an old CRT maybe? I'm using a Samsung Monitor, and it worked fine with the computer before the installation of all the new crap. I don't get why it's just the SCREEN that won't show up...

Computer repair in the yellow pages of your phone book will be more reliable, but also more expensive. You get what you pay for.
