i suppose it could happen, maybe he had an offday or just dident take the game seriously. Also he might have been a bit cooky and not trying to scout your hidden expo.
Keep in mind that if he is a Z player, then he will have next to no practice in PvT. He may have been better had it been TvZ or PvZ.

My friend's about a c+ zerg and i rarely if ever loss to his toss and im only about a d+ terran.

I'm not an expert on ICCUP rankings, but that would seem really strange. Maybe he was lucky the previous seasons?

yeah I'm pretty sure cakeman is legitimatly B- using Zerg. And yeah it's also quite common for players offraces to be really bad. Some people just never play with them at all, not even for fun.

It's possible that he wasn't taking the game seriously. Every so often, we play a game just to mess around. That's probably why he wanted to play a D player.

Cakeman is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. He's a Kiwi who consistantly dodges me because after our first showmatch for www.starcraft.co.nz he doesn't want to lose again.
Maybe he once got B-, but he hasn't in the last year I've known him. C is nearer his level imo.

Why would a B- play on west anyway, maybe he just gave you a fake account. Either that or he just cheesed all the way to B- , or is really rough right now. Honestly, this iccup rank stuff is bs. A noob can easily do 5 pool every game and probably get a decent iccup rank, I've known complete noobs who got to C just from cheesing. I've had some people tell me some of my matchups are almost C level, while I've had other people tell me I am like D level. Yeah it gives a rough skill level, but it's kinda flawed. Pretty sure either he isn't the B- he says, or you just got really lucky maybe (or you're just really gosu).
