just goofing around on ICCUP as I usually have been doing lately at nights, getting owned by Koreans quite a bit (almost C- meh)... played this really awesome game just now.

I just thought I'd share it because I had a lot of fun.
Here's a quick sort of summary (If I was gosu like other people I'd post a buncha screens from the game, but my technical abilities aren't good enough for that, plus I'm lazy).
Map: Destination
MU: PvZ (me protoss)
Rank: D+ (gosus don't need to watch my choboness ;

Guy goes a really aggressive lurker build and takes an assload of expansions. Somehow I try taking my 3rd really early (I sent my probe out to scout my back to make sure he wasn't trying some kind of cheese but then when my probe was over there I decided, "fuck it, i'll just take a 3rd now"). So, as he scouts my 3rd coming up he sends tons of waves of units at it, and I keep fighting his units off. Meanwhile he's taking a buncha expos.
I go really early dark archon, because it's something I've been working on using more just because they're fun. I saw him going lurker instead of muta so I researched mind control instead of maelstrom first. Mind control'd a lurker outside my main (woot!).
He basically techs to defiler really quick and goes mass crackling+defiler into ultralings... and I just go sort of standard play, taking and securing expansions and I roam around killing his expos.
Bunch of huge battles happen, lots of spell usage I.E plagues (WHO IS PLAGUING WHO?!), dark swarms, storms, maelstroms, mind controlling shit...
Ya, after it's sort of clear he's losing the game he starts bm'ing me... and continues fighting for awhile. Eventually he leaves.
Ya it was really exciting game to play/watch afterwards, lots of battles and action and stuff... so check it out if you want.

I'm pretty sure Xeris is at least C+. I think he means the game was played at the D+ level? Not sure.

why would the team appoint the strongest SC player to be captain? they would need someone with leadership/management skills to organize matches and such. SC skills wouldn't mean shit if the captain didn't know how to manage the other players.

yeah captains a lot of the time aren't that great. the captain for sweden b (could be a... i think it's b though) is like d+ with like 400 apm (according to stylish, lol :p)

Geese I don't know how you get to D+ with that kind of play (excluding the Dark Archons).
His play was even worse. I would have mistaken him for a D-.
That said, funny game. I loved the DA usage and "fucking my ass" at the end. =D

ya there's a magical addition to the team once you hit a certain rank... if you want to be involved it's your responsibility to be proactive, I don't know how many of the 30,000 students at UCSD are playing BW, lol.

<3 the dark archons. You could have mind-controlled like five lurkers and used that for defense w/ corsairs. Although, I must say, I was quite pleased to see plagued ultras.
