Hi it has occurred to me that a lot of people do not know dubstep.
The roots of dubstep are mainly in the UK. They produce crazy stuff seriously You can pretty much describe it as a creative approach to and focus on basslines. It usually pairs a slow rhythm with super agressive bass sounds to blow your mind and make you wobble its also addicting while stoned kinda repetitive so its nice to have it on while doing stuff or just chilling out
so here are a few tracks to get you started...
Sick agressive, created by a duo that also produces drum&bass:
Chill tune, with an MC sample
Some fast paced dubstep, created by one of the masters of the genre: Benga
superwobbly, also by benga
some nice oriental music mix
reggae samples
and another sick tune; africa
who knows maybe someone will start liking dubstep because of this? tell me what you think anyway
dubsteps only good on a MAD sound system with INTENSE bass that makes your body just vibrate intensely, oh and remember to be drunk as hell or on X for a great feelin
i liked the first one and plastician man - japan, but the rest just made me feel uncomfortable, reminding me of "Justice - Stress" but not quite as powerful. maybe ill find a mood where i enjoy this more
Well ok, not the breakcore kind of aggressivity but once you listen to some of those tracks with sick soundsystems, you'll know what I mean after your head's been wobbled off :D
well I don't think I really fell in love with any of it but the last one(africa) and superwobbly were okay. I also notice there's a whole lot of bass that needs to be broken out with the right kind of subs and amp. Overall its okay but not my taste.
I really like Saxon Chase & Status, Plastician Man - Japan, and I would have liked the last one had they left out some of the whah whamps. and maybe kept that intro sound throughout the beat.
Can you find more like the ones I mentioned, or give me some to lookup?
PS- I don't like really like techno music (lumping them all into one genre here) except some DnB/jungle stuff. Specifically DJ Spor and The Hive, and a few others I can't remember atm.
