FINE! Since my hw help thread was closed, time to bring on another topic that came into mind recently.
Okay, back when I was in elementary and middle school, I went to Korean school every Saturdays... It wasn't fun. You had to wake up at like 8 AM to catch the bus and come back at 3-4 PM. My Saturday was totally ruined because I had to learn all these stuff in Korean and I sucked at Korean at the time. I would always get like 30's and 40's on the reading exams except for math =P. Anyways, Korean school wasn't that fun in terms of school. However, I made some really good, close friends. If I recall correctly, there were four of us.
I think we had some really fun times even though we were still around in 6th grade at the time. Our favorite activitiy was to play basketball and play Starcraft after school (YES! Fastest and UMS though...). There were so many fun times but I won't list them
The leader of our group was my best friend. He lived near my town but around 7th or 8th grade, he moved to boarding school. I never heard of him again.
Then there's another kid, who was also my close friend. We would always play Starcraft together after school (he was basically my fastest possible map ally!) and although we would lose, we would always have fun with UMS and such. We even attempted to make UMS maps and he's the one that got me into map-making, although that didn't last. He moved to Korea, but he gave me his number but I haven't called him for years so his number definitely changed.
The other kid is my friend but he stopped coming to Korean school.
Too bad at the time, I had 56k and I was so bad with the computer that I didn't even use AIM or any messengers, let alone e-mail. I was so stupid..-_-
I want to find them via Facebook but I wonder if any of them have it...one of my small goals is to meet them again. It's been 6 years and they must have changed a lot too.
Do you have any friends that you've lost contact with over the years?

You know what, I think it's sort of weird because 6 years is a long long time.
They could have changed. One could be like a druggie. The one in Korea (since he's my age) is probably in his last semester for high school and studying for the entrance exam or is a 날라리 (basically lazy bum lols) or some shit......hehe

When I was in primary school (about 6 years old) I had 2 really close friends. One went back to Thailand and the other went back to Japan. I think I kept in touch with one of them through letters for a while, but I got tired of it (to my childish mind it was like doing homework) so I lost contact. If email was more common back then it probably would've been different.
By some weird coincidence, my mum ended up studying post-grad at the same university as the Thai friend's brother. He still recognised her even though over a decade had passed (and she was pregnant).
I don't even remember the Japanese friend's name T_T.

We all have friends we lost contact with over the years. A few of them contacted me via facebook when I still bothered to check it... including a girl who I was friends with (I guess) when I was like 4-5. That was kinda strange actually.

I once knew a guy who I thought was my best friend, but now I rarely talk to him. Once I got out of the military and moved back home I thought we'd hang out again and become closer again, but he just ended up getting back with his whore of an ex-girlfriend (who cheated on him multiple times) and doesn't really message/talk to me much because he's got his head shoved so far up her ass he can taste what she's had for lunch.
A couple of weeks ago he texted me, "Hey, what's up with Angels play-off tickets?" (because I have access to REALLY good seats and took him to a game right when I got back) after not talking to me for like a month.
Fucking piece of shit.

I intentionally lose contact with all male friends and find it as natural as not speaking with ex. gf's.
"Friends" are a good pass-time while in a forced group environment like school or work where i always get a fanclub. When i switch jobs or am out of school, i cut all ties though - only way to help them grow.
This whole "having a circle of really close friends" is just for pussies who grew up in a bad family situation and have an underlying need to connect and relate. Lol, they should see how sad they are - the "friendships" are based on mutual needyness and ultimately become a contest of flaunting relationships, kids, homes etc - since they can't prove their success to their parents, they end up trying to prove themselves to their friends.
Only the few who see through these shallow drapes of "friendship" deserve to stay in my concenting proximity.

This is the first time I've ever seen someone try to mock people for having friends. You're pretty much a loser who's afraid of intimacy I'd rather put my trust in people I've known for years and years than to try to trust some pricks I work/go to school with for a few months.
