Well, I just found out something really lame.
LSAT is on October 4th ... WCG USA is Oct 3-4-5. What a dilemma. Should I take the LSAT on Oct 4th, or go to WCG USA Finals? I can't do both because I'd be taking the LSAT in San Diego, and probably Friday I'd want to study, and there wouldn't be much of a point to go down to LA just on Sunday...
I'd really like to take the LSAT on Oct 4th though...
On the other hand, WCG USA hasn't been near where I live since 2004, and this year 2 of my team-mates will be playing and I'll finally have a chance to meet some USA LighT's...
What a shitty situation, what ever shall I do!

hmmm. Can you take the LSAT next year? is it worth waiting a whole year just for wcg?
|
Don't blow off your school work IMO. Is there any chance you can still make it up?

USA WCG always have some really nice coverage.
Every year there is video, pictures, replays. You won't miss a thing. :D

Well... here's the situation.
I have two options right now for university: 1) I can graduate 1 year early, and finish Spring 09, in which case I'd apply for Law School to enter in Fall 09. With this option, the BEST time for me to take the LSAT is this coming Oct 4th, I could take the December LSAT for Fall 09 admission, but that's kinda pushing it.
2) I can graduate a bit later, in Fall 09, take the rest of that year off (probably working...) and apply for Law School to enter in Fall 10. With this option, my counselor advised that I take the LSAT once this coming year, and then if I'm not happy with my score, re-take it next year in October.
So, it's not CRUCIAL that I take it this October, and I guess if I go with option 2, I can take it in December np, but I'm not 100% sure on the route I want to take just yet, and I've got to decide relatively soon because slots to take the LSAT fill up pretty quickly.

If you are seroius about your future in law there should be no question that LSAT should be your priority.

Yeah man do your LSAT, fuck WCG.

What is the LSAT? same as SAT?
|
Are you fucking insane? Take the LSAT man.

I don't understand how this could be a question in anyone's mind. Do the LSAT.

for law school admissions i guess.

Ya LSAT is for law school. Like MCAT for med schools, GMAT for MBA.
Anyways, I say take your LSATs and go on with law school.
|
Take your LSATs for sure.

Another vote for LSAT, SC is a game, your career is your future.

do what u care most about right now
u have plenty of time

If you were competing in wcg then I would understand your dilemna, but if all you are doing is watching it, then write the damn LSAT.

It depends on your grades and what you want to put up with, no? If you think your current grades are good enough for the goal Law Schools, go for it. If not, then you'll have another year to rack up resume padder and better grades with, as well as more time to prepare for LSATs, in exchange for a year that you could be spending finishing up your professional school of choice.

Poor WCG. I will give you my vote.

Depends on what you want Xeris.
Option A) Take your time through school and hang with your buddys knowing that you can still take the test later this year in december and get in next year while working. Don't see why that's pushing it though. Extra time to study and just before winter break.
Option B) Take the test first, miss some time with friends, graduate earlier.
Honestly knowing that I can still do the test 2 months later, I would choose Option A. No need to rush through life. Law School will eat your soul for the next X amount of years. You will be lucky to take 4 hours a week for BW.

I'd say it depends on how you feel about school atm. If you are not at all tired or bored with school then I'd say that taking the test now is the best option. But you have probably been studying very hard up until this point so if you feel that half a year off might be good for your achievments and motivation in lawschool then go to WCG. But don't let WCG influence yor decision =P

LSAT then WCG on the last day?!
|
Problem with that is: San Diego is like 1.5-2 hour drive from LA. Friday the 3rd I'd probably get last minute studying in, then the 4th is all day LSAT , so I'd probably get back to LA late at night, then Sunday pretty much everything is over except grand finals, and most people are leaving and stuff, so it's not even worth it really.
But uh, my grades are fine at the moment, I would like to bump up a little higher to get 3.85+ , hopefully this year I'll be able to do that.
I think I'll just take the December LSAT instead of the October one... I have a feeling I'll most likely stay an extra quarter.

Don't you need to notarize some stuff for law school apps? If you do, I'll do it for free; semioldguy happens to be a Notary Public for some reason.

You're fucking insane for even entertaining the idea of going to WCG over taking something that will define the rest of your life.
