It's not that I'm sexist or anything, but I feel like they like the WHOLE ATTENTION. You know what I mean. Tons of Youtubers groveling over their every word, offering to marry them, and basically treat them like queens. I don't get all the hype. I wouldn't really care if my girlfriend likes video games. She does like video games, but I'm not obsessively happy about it. It's more than a plus than a necessity. I really don't know why I'm writing this, but like I said they annoy me. Examples  | ||

I think it's been proven time and time again that most people writing youtube comments are complete retards, especially those who compliments women in every video where there is one who is at least decent looking. It's not just about videogames, anime or other nerd culture, it's everywhere. I don't think many women want that kind of attention, or care about it really, since it's rarely directed toward them personally, just women in general. | ||

More related to the OP: I've so far seen about 5 girls who play games seriously, and none of them were bitchy or whiny. They were very good teammates, but then again I don't choose teammates who aren't. Other than being female, they were not particularly special in any aspect, good or bad. On the other hand, I've seen many females who will play games casually. I've seen no correlation between them and "bitchiness." Meh. | ||

I'm not sexist in anyway, but most the girls I meet fall into the common stereotypes of clumsy and dispassionate. For a girl to have the commitment and aspiration to succeed in competitive gaming, that's hot to me. Attention whores who post youtube videos, jiggle their tits and cosplay their way to E-fame... Yeah, they piss me off too. But that third video was actually fucking hilarious. She made me laugh quite a bit. | ||

I know some girls who occassionally play games and aren't attention whores at all though, it's just that you never notice them while you notice the attention whores, so not really fair to judge all "gaming girls" like that. Anyway just about everyone who spends a lot of time on the internet is somewhat crazy in my experience. | ||

I have female cousins who have taken a game of me in Halo 3, and like I said my girlfriend plays game occasionally. I don't hate girl gamers. I know it's about entertainment more than competition. There's several dozen teams in the world that are better at CS than SK girls/gx3 and I actually agree that if they bring in more viewers/fans, they should get paid more. They're satisfied with being the best female players instead of actually being the best players, which is ludicrous considering there's no biological advantage for playing video games like there is for basketball or tennis. I have yet to see any proof that the Frag Dolls are good at gaming at all, and I've never seen SK.girls take part in a real competition. I noticed I was getting a lot of clicks on one of my videos from this site, so I thought I'd check it out. I have to say, the reactions in here aren't much different from others around the net (So I'm not particularily offended). Generally speaking, you're a gamer-girl hater or a gamer-girl obsesser. God forbid people watch my shows and judge me for what I'm saying or doing, as opposed to whether or not I'm a whore. Quite frankly, most of the sites I join, I tend to pretend I'm a guy. As a girl on a game site, for being friendly, I'm considered a whore. For talking about games, all I'm doing is looking for attention. And if I don't talk about games, all I am is some stupid internet chick. Look, I enjoy video games. I'm a nerd. I cosplay. I go to anime conventions, I hang out in front of gamestop for midnight launches, I collect old classics on my NES and SNES. I'm not a whore at all; in fact, I haven't had a boyfriend in years. Nor am I looking for one. I'm sorry that you don't like the attention that I get for my lame videos; quite frankly, I don't know why I get it either. If you don't like the negative attention why the hell do you make videos? I mean there's really no reason for you to make those horrible v logs/journal videos. You could say that you do it as more of a blog/self analysis sort of thing, but you can easily write in a journal/online blog/ or even put your videos as private, and only share with your friends. That would stop the supposedly nerdy internet boys from mildly obsessing over you, and solve your problem. The fact that you make these silly videos where you barely say anything worthwhile. You even dress up in your videos like you're going to impress some boy after school. I think you know what you're doing, but instead you deny it solely to avoid being labeled, and critiqued. I think you like the attention, what girl wouldn't want attention. Especially coming from the opposite sex. You can easily avoid everything you're talking about. As for the fact that we are hating/bashing.. Get used to it, because we have the right to say whatever the hell we want to a certain extent. It's called the freedom of speech, and I actually think it's hypocritical that women can call men dogs, but we can't call women attention whores. I do things the same as plenty of gamer-guys and it just happens to appeal to a wider audience. I don't "dress up" in my videos. Anything I was wearing in there was what I was wearing that day. Dressed as link? That was from halloween. Tales of Symphonia character? That was the da of coming back from Connecticon. I don't go dress as random fvideo game characters fir the hell of it or for the attention, I wear the costumes to conventions, Apparently you're not clear on how these things work, but virtually everyone dresses up, so it's nothing special for me to be on costume. One of my passions is video gaming and another is cosplay. It's just how i work babe, and yes, i get more attention than I would if I was a guy, but meh.
