I've owned and tried a few tablets myself and none compared to Wacom tablets. Other tablets (e3works, Aiptek, Genius etc) claim they have the same pressure and dpi but it's obviously not the same. Compared to a Wacom they were erratic and had poor pressure sensitivity even when configured and I've heard of pen nibs breaking and etc. I had an e3works tablet and switched back to mouse because it was so bad. :p Wacom is the way to go. If cost is a major factor for you, a lot of artists I know use the Graphire/Bamboo tablet (cord, not wireless) which is a lot cheaper than the Intuos and gets the job done. It just has a different design and half of the pressure sensitivity, I also heard that the plastic surface is bit more rough feeling to the pen nib than the Intuos. Intuos was made for 'serious' artists but I've seen plenty of amazing artists that use Graphire/Bamboo and heard from their switch to Intuos that the sensitivity was not that noticeable. I guess sensitivity depends on your style, how large you draw/paint, for example if your brush strokes are heavily dependant on pressure then an Intuos3 is probably better for you because then pressure would be more noticeable. ![]() Good luck!

Thanks for all the info. I am just gonna get the medium bamboo fun, I like the larger size, longer strokes I think would give a lot more freedom :D
