I mainly solo, amongst friends most of the time when I have free time to my own. Then a friend of mine wanted to 1;1 me and I did, and out of nowhere, he had a shitload of mutalisks at my doorstep when I didn't even have 50 food yet. I guess it's one of those days, times, where hacks grow more atrocious and evil and spread fast, if not, faster than the plague during the olden days.

He was using oblivion, and soon, we both were using it in 2 versus 2's and more and more, I've noticed I liked it. It was so easy. The selection hacks, and you can practically go afk as long as you have food, and it'll keep producing units for you.

Hell, I have used it for almost a month and it's been a huge burden, I want to stop using it but I love using it against people in fastest, hunters, BGH and such. And then, I started using it in 1;1 just because people used it on me. Kind of like getting back at the world or some sorts. Then, my mistake, using it on my friends. This is unbelievable of me. I am such a dick, I now deleted oblivion and all of it's plague and restarting fresh. I lost a good friend of mine because I'm stupid enough to use the hack.

I'm sorry.

Although I do agree that this is morally incorrect, losing a "good friend" over using a hack is ridiculous. Maybe not such a "good friend" in the end, huh?

Well, it's my fault. I kept using it like a handicap and that's wrong. If my friend did that to me, I would end our friendship too so I don't see this as any different.

Amen.

Listen to some of those people in the hackers thread, you'd think they'd kill you if they knew you in real life just from HEARING you hack online

Ive played many games with raith on hamachi.. Even tho id strategize and micro far better i would lose in the end, as he had macroed up 5-6 bases late, really frustrating to play against..
so I checked his reps and I find hes using oblivion; split, auto mine, map hack etc.. I ask if he hacks, knowing he does and he keeps saying nono.. And then now he admits it, 1 day later.. Only reason I knew him was bw, so i dont see any reason to play/talk to him anymore.

Raithed did you see Testie's "Hack Apology" thread that was closed not too long ago? Read it.

There is absolutely NO excuse for hacking. My friend hacked in War3 vs me because he thought Spirit Walkers were supposed to be invisible (retard assumption on his part) and then he got maphack. He got banned. I don't play War3 with him anymore.

[On a somewhat unrelated note, I Cycloned his Ethereal Spirit Walkers and he called me a hacker and left.]

If you lose against a hacker why would you feel the need to hack yourself? They have a ridiculous advantage over you and whenever I lose to Oblivion hackers I just end up laughing because I see their stats on BWChart and they're pro+ caliber.

Seriously, this is way too melodramatic. Just call yourself an idiot, "promise" to never do it again and move on.

Words don't mean very much, but actions do - play legit from now on and continue that as long as you play.

Raithed, it is good of you to come clean like this, publicly. That takes some testicular fortitude, man.

The fact is, everyone screws up in one way or another. I never hacked, but I've done somes tupid and messed up things - ultimately I'm sure I've done plenty of things in life that are worse than using a silly hack in a video game.

What matters is that you recognize what you did is wrong, and you are correcting it, and you are also putting yourself out there to be judged by everyone.

Learn from this whole experience! Apply it to other areas of your life (analogous situations occur very, very often). If you can do that, then this mistake has been well worth it!

I remember back in the olden days(like late patch 1.09, early patch 1.10) when Damnation and stack hack was still around. It was so funny cannon rushing someone but having like 10 cannons stacked on top of each other so it was more epic. I remember the crash hack and how Damnation had crash hack protection so people would crash hack everyone but only the hackers would stay. Rofl, I remember using Damnation just for the protection and when I was owning them, they tried crashing me and I just laughed my ass off and told them I didn't even need the MH to own you. The guy left in anger.

I also remember using the morph hack before it became mainstream(I made the mod myself XD). That was fucking awesome. Using your probes to make geysers was fucking awesome. I'd basically play some 3v3 BGH/4v4 BGH/FFA and just wall off my entrance with geysers and use the glitch to get minerals and make 3-4 nexii and pump probes off of them and just make a shitton of mutas and own everyone. Fucking funniest thing ever. Everyone was like "WTF how?!?!?!" Then, the "hack" became mainstream and all of a sudden, I had to fight mutas in the first 30 seconds of the game and pump workers to keep my muta production up. Then, they patched it.

After that, I started using the build anywhere with protoss hack to cannon rush people. That was funny because they'd try killing my probe but to no avail since I was using the hack to make a pylon near their base. ROFL!

I stopped hacking after patch 1.13. I don't know why. I usually just get on a smurf account and hack for fun, but nowadays I don't. Oblivion isn't that special, all it has is Zerg money hack(it has all this other shit, but it's no fun, mostly newb stuff(like that auto-mine thing).

hm that doesnt make sense though

if i make 16 consective one word posts, i'm good, but if i make like 3 shitty posts with the last one having 6 curses/flames, i'm banned

your formula sucks

i will propose a new one in a thread with less shitty cuntbag niggerfaggotry

I strongly suspect this is bullshit.

If you made the hack you would know the game command that it sent (an array of 3 bytes in this case). So, what is it?

The necessity for people to call other people out on their bullshit online is priceless. Who cares if he's lying, it's the internet. He's only making himself look more pathetic. If he's lying, ooooh shiiiit, you're fucking Inspector Gadget, nothing gets by Sheriff Sherlock Pandas Mason. If not, you're an asshole who needs to test everyone.

I loaded up ArrEdit(or ICE, forgot what mod program it was) and played around with it until I was able to get it to work online(with a help of a friend, since the "hack" back then was introduced by DeathKnight and we both decided to try and make it).

It wasn't. It became mainstream when DT made a hack for it. DeathKnight actually showed me it on Battle.net(I think this was in op sen, forgot what channel, was a while back). He told me(and the other people observing) that it was basically just a mod and you could run it while on battle.net. Me and a friend decided to make it and we did.

:/ There, Mr. Detective. Is the interrogation over? rofl.
